Davis finished with 13 points, delivering timely buckets that swung the momentum whenever the game tightened up. He plays with a calm, controlled tempo, never rushed, yet can attack the rim at will and make it look effortless. With the ball in his hands, he dictated the pace, keeping his team organized and in rhythm. His composure and ability to control the flow were key factors in the outcome
Jayden is the engine for that South team and has been their most consistent player to start the year, in my opinion. Jayden is a workhorse prospect that cannot be denied. He rebounds out of position, his motor is always moving, and he’s shown the ability to score at all three levels. South has not had an ideal start as they have dropped a couple of close ones, but he’s been a silver lining in games. He had 17 points in a close loss to the defending champs, Eaglecrest. He got to the FT line, was finishing well around the basket, and is a pest defensively. He’s a player who makes his mark in every single game, and that is why South is able to compete. I am eager to see if he can consistently contribute in the ways that he’s been able to as South’s most important player.
Jayden competes. That is something that cannot be taken away from him. He slashes, gets downhill, and answers the call regardless of the matchup. He plays above his size, battles defensively, and keeps South’s energy steady. He’s a catalyst for the team, and when he goes, they go. This weekend, he did a little of everything. He was finishing, creating advantages, and staying aggressive. He’s been consistent and is due for more attention because his impact stretches beyond scoring.
Davis has been one of the most consistent risers this fall, leading Denver South with poise and purpose every time out. He plays with confidence and command, setting the tone on both ends of the floor. Offensively he’s dynamic and looks to push the pace, finish strong downhill and knocks down shots from anywhere on the court. Defensively he’s just as impactful, using his anticipation and quick hands to force turnovers that often turn into easy points in transition. He has a tendency to put opponents in bad positions that allow him to generate steals. His energy, leadership, and all around production have been key to his team’s success. Davis continues to elevate his game each outing and is making a strong case to break further into the rankings
