About Jahlil
Expert Analysis
Bret Swanson | Prep Hoops Scout
Hope really doesn’t have a true position on the floor for the Swamp Foxes. Jahlil can do a little bit of this or that. That certainly doesn’t hurt him with his play though. Jahlil can get the ball to the cup by getting downhill. He does a nice job of playing off the bounce. Prep Hoops likes to identify these guys as PLAYERS – you find minutes for them wherever that is on the court. Jahlil averaged 18.3 ppg and 9.8 rebounds last season.
Hope jumped up to #45 after being #60 back in the June rankings.

Hope is a terrific player that looks like he has a game that will transfer nicely to the next level. He’s an absolute menace in the open floor. Hope know when to take it the distance to the rim, but he also knows when the pass is the better option. He’s an elite finisher that can finish with finesse as well as above the rim power. Hope has a pretty right to left spin move when attacking the bucket.

Hope really doesn’t fit in any kind of position in my mind at times. Jahlil brings effectiveness and productivity at all the perimeter spots at times. He will be counted on heavily for the Swamp Foxes and Head Coach Brad Dobbels this coming season to lead the way. Jahlil ran with TMP ‘ last=”] 16U this past summer on the Grassroots Circuit.
