Carr has really turned up his play over the past 3 months or so. Darius came on strong this summer after making the move over to Gray Collegiate from Carolina Forest HS. Darius has really picked up his play around the cup. He has nice footwork to finish around bigger defenders at times.
Darius can step-out and feel comfortable connecting on a short corner – mid range jumper. He really does a nice job of chasing down rebounds outside of his area. Carr tends to play bigger than his size down low. He made the move up to #22 after being #44 in the June rankings.
Highlights
Pretty certainly plays around the basket with his ability to finish. Jayden is an undersized post with a good skill set. Pretty seems to be undervalued at times with his play on the floor. He’s highly effective from the elbow in and really shows off some crafty passing skills.
Pretty made the up from #31 to #27 this time around in the 2024 Palmetto State Rankings.
Turner brings good versatility to the floor for the Eagles. Qayden can play all the positions out on the perimeter. He will look to stalk the baseline or simply pull-up from downtown with his jumper. Turner will handle the rock up the floor in transition and shows to have good passing skills when it comes to finding the open man.
Qayden comes in at #28 this time around after being #41 back in June.
Highlights
Hope really doesn’t have a true position on the floor for the Swamp Foxes. Jahlil can do a little bit of this or that. That certainly doesn’t hurt him with his play though. Jahlil can get the ball to the cup by getting downhill. He does a nice job of playing off the bounce. Prep Hoops likes to identify these guys as PLAYERS – you find minutes for them wherever that is on the court. Jahlil averaged 18.3 ppg and 9.8 rebounds last season.
Hope jumped up to #45 after being #60 back in the June rankings.
Highlights
Mitchell seems to be back to his old self with his play on the hardwood for the Trojans. Mason comes in this time around at #59 after being #100 back in the June rankings.
Mitchell brings good versatility to the floor with his play. Mason will stalk the baseline and bring havoc at the rim at times. He really does a nice jump of defending multiple positions. Mitchell seems to be back 100% healthy again from back in his earlier days in high school.
Fair plays at a small Class 1A program in Chester County in the Upstate. Aaden comes in this time around at #86 after being #103 back in June. Fair is a catch-shoot guy from downtown.
Aaden averaged 17.8 ppg last season for the Red Devils. Don’t leave open on the floor because if you do it might be a long night for the opponents.
Jackson has made the move to Downtown Columbia to attend CA Johnson HS. Lamont played last season at Blythewood HS. Lamont will suit for the Hornets this season which is a Class 1A program in the heart of Columbia.
Jackson plays the game with some shiftiness and savvy at times. Lamont really excels in a fast-up-tempo style of play. He has no problems creating his own scoring chances on the floor. Jackson comes in at #92 this time around after being #117 last June.
Gentry is a pass first point guard for the Cavaliers. Christian has the ability to touch the paint and find his way into the gaps. He really uses his body well to fight off defenders. Gentry is shifty with the ball in hands and doesn’t mind showing a little shake and bake a times.
Gentry made the move up to #108 after being #135 back in June.
Hollis will be a main focus on the Indians roster this coming season. He brings a lot of energy and effort to the floor with his constant HUSTLE. Markell will finish at the rim with his left-hand and constantly plays around the ball while on the floor. Hollis will hit the glass on both ends of the court and really sprint the floor in transition.
Markell made the move from #173 to #117 this time around with his play this summer and fall.
