Expert Analysis
Andrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
Hollis had a monster year scoring the ball for first-year Head Coach Charles Blue and the Gaffney Indians. The Senior Guard can fill it up in an instant and led the team with over 17 Points Per Game (19.4 Per Game in Region Play). That alone is remarkable, but Harris averaged just 7.3 Points Per Game in his Junior Year, clearly making him one of the most improved players in the state. Although Markell had the ball in his hands often for the Indians, he maintained good efficiency, shooting 60% from the field, 41% from three, and 83% from the free throw line this season.

Hollis will be a main focus on the Indians roster this coming season. He brings a lot of energy and effort to the floor with his constant HUSTLE. Markell will finish at the rim with his left-hand and constantly plays around the ball while on the floor. Hollis will hit the glass on both ends of the court and really sprint the floor in transition.
Markell made the move from #173 to #117 this time around with his play this summer and fall.

gives you a little bit of everything on the court with his length, energy, and athleticism. Rebounds well for his position, shot the ball well off the catch and took what the defense gave him without forcing many bad shots. Found open lanes to the basket in the half court or transition always keeping pressure on the defense. Really did a good job making positive things happen on or off the ball. Had quick hands defensively and wasn’t afraid to challenge anyone at the rim.
