Jahlil Hope Jahlil Hope 6'3" | SG Ashley Ridge | 2024 State SC (Ashley Ridge HS) – Jahlil’s film featured a lot of strong play-making from his wing position. He displayed good athleticism in multiple clips from both ends of the floor. Hope also showed an ability to stroke it from behind the arc and finish creatively around the rim. The finishing, in particular, stood out. He frequently beat defenders off the dribble and could finish with pull-up jumpers, floaters, or reverse, euro-step, and spin layups.
Dawson Owen Dawson Owen 6'2" | CG Liberty | 2024 State SC (Liberty HS) – Dawson showcased a lot of perimeter shooting in his film. Whether it was pull-up off the dribble or catch-and-shoot, Owen consistently knocked down the perimeter shots. He also caused some havoc on the defensive end. Dawson got into the passing lanes several times and showed good hands in help defense.
Lonnie Harrison Lonnie Harrison 5'10" | PG Berkeley | 2024 State SC (Berkeley HS) – Lonnie’s ball-handling jumps off the screen when watching his tape. He made opposing defenders uncomfortable with his dribble and ability to change pace. Harrison is a strong scorer from 15 feet and in, but didn’t show much from the perimeter. He did, however, feature some nice clips on the defensive end. He reads plays well and is a very good rebounder, which allows his team to get into their transition offense quickly.
Jeaden Wadley (Ashley Ridge HS) – Jeaden had some very impressive finishes in his film. He has solid athleticism and scored around the rim creatively and through contact. He showed a knack for getting downhill, but Wadley also had some clips of him knocking down a perimeter shot. He has a very wide base on his jump shot, but is seemed to be pretty consistent. Jeaden also had some nice clips of him as a pick-and-roll ball handler. He had a good feel of when to score and when to facilitate in the half-court offense.
Noah Mvula Noah Mvula 5'10" | PG Chesnee | 2024 State SC (Chesnee HS) – One thing that stands out from Noah’s film is his shooting. He is a really good shooter from the perimeter whether there is a hand in his face or not. He also had some nice moments moving without the ball to find space to set himself up for a better look. Mvula is capable of playing either spot in the backcourt, and featured some playmaking ability off the dribble too.
Jacob Bennon (Hillcrest HS) – Jacob is a pure 3-And-D player for Hillcrest and HYB Raptors. He is a knockdown shooter that provides good floor spacing for both teams, but is also a handful on the defensive end. Bennon has gotten a lot stronger since the end of the 2022-23 High School Season and is a Football player as well.
Jeremiah Campbell Jeremiah Campbell 6'2" | SG Wren | 2024 State SC (Wren HS) – Jeremiah had a very impressive highlight tape. He showed a terrific handle as well a beautiful stroke from behind-the-arc. Campbell also had some nice clips in transition where he either finished or found teammates. He has good size as well, and was an important piece of a State Championship Winning Team last Winter at Wren High School.
Dykes Dickson Dykes Dickson 6'0" | CG Northwood Academy | 2024 State SC (Northwood Academy) – On film Dykes showed a high level of playmaking. He had tremendous floor vision and a good handle; a true pass-first PG. He did it mostly in half court sets, but he made a couple of nice passes in transition too. Dickson also made multiple perimter shots, some from extremely deep range.
Jorden King Jorden King 6'3" | CG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC (Legacy Early College) – Jorden is a do-it-all wing for Legacy Early College and Team KST. He has really good length and can stretch the floor or score off the dribble. But the two things that stand out most are his offensive rebounding and body control. He is an exceptional offensive rebounder for his positon, which helped result in saved possesions and some easy buckets on film. When driving into the lane, King is exceptional at finishing around bodies. He has a good understanding of how to use his feet and his body to his advantage, and was impressive in the paint.
Javeyn Martin Javeyn Martin 6'1" | CG TL Hanna | 2024 State SC (TL Hanna HS) – Javeyn had a very balanced highlight film. He made plays on both ends of the floor in a number of ways. On offense, he was solid with the ball in his hands. He is trusted to get the team into their sets and make reads, but can also create his own bucket if the play breaks down. On defense, he has great instincts and active hands which helped create quick transition offense. In partciular, he excelled at reading the eyes of a passer and jumping into a lane.
Jaquarious Patterson Jaquarious Patterson 6'6" | SF T.L. Hanna | 2024 State SC (TL Hanna HS) – Jaquarious Patterson Jaquarious Patterson 6'6" | SF T.L. Hanna | 2024 State SC is one of the more intriguing prospects in the entire state. He has the ability to do many things on the floor at a very high level. He can defend multiple positions on defense, or punish different mismatches on offense. Patterson has great length and is a confident shooter, but it’s his ability to make plays as a wing that stands out. He is certainly a prospect to keep an eye on.
