Bruins Have Talent and Depth:
The South Florence HS Bruins are surely a program who could be standing late into the season in Class 4A. The Bruins have a deep roster and plenty of depth now that the football season is over. Jamarie Brown Jamarie Brown 6'3" | PG South Florence | 2024 State SC , Ziyon Gamble Ziyon Gamble 5'9" | PG South Florence | 2024 State SC , SyRee Livingston SyRee Livingston 6'2" | SF South Florence | 2024 State SC , Rodney Lesane Rodney Lesane 6'1" | PF South Florence | 2024 SC and Terrance Moorer Terrance Moorer 6'3" | PF South Florence | 2024 State SC are all in the senior class for the Bruins. Brown and Gamble start in the backcourt. Brown brings some flash to the table and the ability to score the ball when needed. Jamarie has a nice mid-range game with his ability to elevate on his jumper.
Gamble is kind of the glue on this team at times. Ziyon can score the ball at the rim in transition and always seems to be in position to make a play for the Bruins.
Livingston just came off a big football season for the Bruins. He’s a punishing left-handed guard-forward who really likes to get the ball downhill to the basket. Sy’Ree brings great hustle at all times and is constantly in position to make a play. He really thrives on playing the game on contact.
Lesane will play football at the next level for the Bruins. Rodney brings a player off the bench at some toughness to the floor.
Moorer is another football guy who brings a mismatch to the table at times with his play. Terrance can score down on the block or bring activity to the perimeter. He brings another scoring option to the table for the Bruins.
Juniors Amare Adams Amare Adams 6'5" | PF South Florence | 2025 State SC , Jackson Robinson Jackson Robinson 6'8" | SF South Florence | 2025 State SC and Jarius Davis Jarius Davis 6'4" | SF South Florence | 2025 State SC all started here today for the Bruins. Adams a Clemson Football Commit played last season a Lake City HS. Amare has a great set of mitts and nimble footwork to finish down low on the block.
Robinson is a very quick leaping forward for the Bruins. Jackson will challenge shots on the defensive end of the floor. He really does a nice job of keeping the ball up high after claiming it off the glass.
Davis brings good versatility to the perimeter for the Bruins. Jarius can handle the rock up the floor, knockdown the 3 ball or simply attack the rack by getting downhill to the cup.
The Bruins have plenty of weapons at times to make noise on any given night. This team could be led by anyone of these players on a given night. All roads lead through Florence this season Upper and Lower State literally.
Armada Pull Off Big Win in Program History:
Atlantic Collegiate played a flawless game here today in a win over Summerville. The Armada connected on several three-pointers to help secure the win. Senior guard Santana Mayes Santana Mayes 6'0" | PG Atlantic Collegiate | 2024 State SC came to play by connecting on 6 three-pointers on his way to scoring 18 points. Mayes really liked setting up shop down in the corners.
Junior forward Jamie Brooks Jamie Brooks 6'6" | C Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2025 State SC patrolled the paint here today. Brooks was able to finish around the rim and connect on put backs all day long. Jamie plays the game very well when he stays close to the basket and manufactures opportunities.
Jaylen Bellamy Jaylen Bellamy 6'2" | SG Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2025 State SC a left-handed guard and point guard Sam Medalie Sam Medalie 6'3" | PG Atlantic Collegiate Academy | 2024 State SC came up with some big plays here today for the Armada. Bellamy was able to knockdown some perimeter jumpers on his way to scoring 14 points today in the win over Summerville HS.
Medalie really plays the game with a good understanding and knows how to set up the table for his squad with his decision-making skills. Medalie a senior moved into the Palmetto State this off past summer from the Volunteer State.
The Armada a first-year program out of Myrtle Beach are coached by Jason Harris. Unfortunately, this coming season Atlantic Collegiate won’t be eligible to play in the SCHSL Playoffs since being a 1st year program. They are currently playing an independent schedule.
Redhawks Remain Hot:
The Westwood HS Warhawks are off to a (10-1) under new Head Coach Trent Robinson this season. Today the Redhawks defeated Lucy Beckham HS behind the strong play of guard TJ Bell TJ Bell 5'11" | PG Westwood | 2024 State SC . Bell finished with 17 points in the win while teammate Larry Brown III Larry Brown III 6'0" | PG Westwood | 2025 State SC added 16 points.
Bell an unsigned senior guard has a quick shot release and a willingness to finish drives to the cup. TJ came into the contest averaging 17.8 ppg at the time. Bell plays the game with a good deal of confidence and surely wants the ball down the stretch.
Brown III is a nice catch-shoot player from behind the line for the Redhawks. Larry shoots the ball at a good percentage clip and always seems to be a productive shooter.
Red Raiders Win Here Today:
The Greenville HS Red Raiders came in and knocked off Pinewood Prep here today 71-53. The Red Raiders have a very dominated underclassmen roster with just 1 senior. Junior Roman Cooley Roman Cooley 6'4" | SF Greenville | 2025 State SC really brought his “A” game today with his play. Cooley a left-handed forward was able to finish going coast to coast at times. He was constantly getting the ball downhill to the cup. Roman was relentless on the glass with his play today. Cooley finished with 22 points in the win today.
Bryson Drummond Bryson Drummond 6'2" | CG Mountain View Prep | 2025 State SC set the tone all day long from out top with his play. Drummond a Quarterback in the Fall for the Red Raiders really showed good leadership skills here today. Bryson is a physical guard who likes to overpower defenders on the way to the cup. He connected on some short mid-range jumpers here today.
Tucker Scholl Tucker Scholl 6'0" | SG Greenville | 2027 State SC is just a freshman for the Red Raiders. Scholl came out and scored 14 points in the win today. Tucker was able to set up shop down in the corners and dial in from long distance. Scholl can play on the ball when called on for Head Coach Mike Anderson.
The Red Raiders have plenty of options for sure. Kam Smith Kam Smith 5'10" | PG Greenville | 2026 State SC and Arkeis Shell Arkeis Shell 5'7" | PG Greenville | 2026 State SC bring more depth to this roster. Ramani Bruton Ramani Bruton 6'0" | PG Greenville | 2025 State SC sat out today with an injury and Frank Whitley Frank Whitley 6'6" | PF Greenville | 2026 State SC is out for the year this season for the Red Raiders.

Jahlil Hope Jahlil Hope 6'3" | SG Ashley Ridge | 2024 State SC – Ashley Ridge HS (Summerville)
Hope scored 20 points in a loss today.
Robert Watson Robert Watson 6'2" | CG Philip Simmons | 2024 State SC – Philip Simmons HS
Watson scored 17 points in the nightcap over Greeneville HS (TN)
Michael Vince Michael Vince 6'5" | SG Pinewood Prep | 2024 State SC – Pinewood Prep (Summerville)
Vince finished with 11 points in a loss to Greenville HS (SC)
Juniors:
Melvin Teal Jr Melvin Teal Jr 6'3" | PG Summerville | 2025 State #301 Nation SC and Shane Potts Shane Potts 6'1" | CG Goose Creek | 2025 State SC need to be on college programs radar moving forward. Teal Jr is a very physical guard who really likes to take his game to the cup and bully over defenders. Potts helped the Goose Creek HS Gators win on opening night with 18 points. Shane has good size from out top with his play. He needs to be more vocal at times with his play.
Sophomores:
Trey Thompson Trey Thompson 6'8" | PF Greeneville | 2026 State TN made a very strong impression here today while dropping 37 points for his squad. Thompson hails from the Volunteer State. He was able to score the ball from inside-out on the floor for his Greeneville (TN) program.
Ja’Quell Brown Ja’Quell Brown 5'11" | CG Goose Creek | 2026 State SC brings a lot of craftiness and savvy to the floor with his play. Brown really sees the floor and at times gets a little too cute with the ball. Ja’Quell has no problems jumping on the deck and securing a few floor burns with his hustle. He really likes to switch hands at the cup and finish with his left on a regular basis.
