Taylor started slow, but once he found his rhythm, he became a problem. After easing into the scoring column, he caught fire and kept pouring in buckets to keep West within striking distance. He finished with a game high 19 points, doing most of his damage on the block where he was nearly automatic. With polished footwork, crafty moves and great shiftiness down low, he consistently created space and played with relentless effort all night

is averaging a double-double with no signs of slowing down. Taylor is a 6’4 forward who is relentless on both ends of the ball. His court awareness separates him from other forwards, as Taylor has his head on a swivel, seeking out his teammates. Recently putting up a 23 point outing on February 5th while shooting 67% from the field, Taylor is looking confident as ever with elite shot-creation and constant communication across the board.

Taylor has been an absolute nightmare for Denver West this season and has firmly established himself as one of the top players in his league. Averaging 14.1 points and 11 rebounds per game, his length creates constant matchup problems on both ends of the floor. He scores effectively inside and out, finishes through contact and stretches defenses with his touch. Defensively his toughness and activity set the tone, controlling the glass and impacting possessions with physicality, effort and consistency every night

We got to see Jaheim in a few tournaments this summer, and he popped every time out for Team Alexander/Alive. He battles on the block, he plays the passing lane, and he uses his athleticism as a strength defensively. He’s a hard worker who doesn’t allow buckets to come easily, and his team rallied around that. Offensively, he was also a force on the low block as he attacks, doesn’t shy away from contact and works the mid post. We like his activity for his size and assertiveness. With the group they have around him for West, those plays are going to be amplified on runs. He’s a player that should get plenty of minutes and be a player who cleans the glass, scores in transition, and is a complementary piece. He makes the rankings for the first time with room to grow this season.

Taylor showed his toughness down low all weekend. He made opponents earn every bucket with his physical presence and relentless defense. On the glass he controlled the boards, often outworking bigger bodies with effort and positioning. His motor never slowed and he battled for every possession and set the tone with his grit inside. Offensively Taylor went to work on the block, using strong post moves and quick drop steps to create space. He finished through contact and showed touch on short jump shots. His ability to stay active on the offensive glass also turned into easy putbacks and second chance points, rounding out a well balanced performance

Denver West would not be as successful without Taylor’s presence, bringing a relentless motor to attack the glass. Comfortable leveraging his strong frame to either box out opponents on the defensive end or move them out of the way on the opposite side, he adds a pesky mindset at all times. This group brings two guys averaging ten or more rebounds a game, despite being at the 4A/3A level this is nothing short of impressive for Denver West.
