continues to prove why he’s such an important piece. In their Sweet 16 win, he finished with 13 points and hit three threes that gave the Cowboys momentum. His athleticism creates mismatches, and if his shot is falling, the floor opens up. This is a big opportunity for him to shine against Kent Denver, where I do not believe they have a matchup for him. He has to take advantage.

Denver West is sitting at a perfect 20-0 on the season and is still not getting the respect that they deserve, as people believe they have not been tested. Well, they can silence the critics with a win against a pesky and battle-tested South squad that is moving in the right direction. A player who I believe will be one of the bigger standouts in the game is combo guard Tiden. Tiden has shown up against top guards in the state, he uses his athleticism and speed to get downhill, he counters guards playing him close with a mean crossover and a go-to move he shoots off of, and he also plays team ball. In a talented and crowded backcourt, he’s putting 10.8 points and just under 3 assists a game. He can play both on and off ball, he’s pesky on defense, and plays off instinct. This will be a game that the Cowboys will be up for, and they can prove that they not only belong but are one of the top teams in the state. This will secretly be one of the top matchups on the day and he’s their secret weapon.

is a one-of-a-kind guard who plays with passion each time he laces up. Showcasing exponential growth over the course of his high school career, Silver-Colbert knows exactly what it takes to be great. A dual-sport athlete, Silver-Colbert takes his agility and quickness from the track and applies it to the court. Averaging just under 11 PPG, converting on 47% of his looks from three, Silver-Colbert has expanded his game to new heights. Expect him to turn on the burners as the postseason approaches.

Silver-Colbert is the ultimate X factor because his impact goes far beyond the box score. He plays with visible pride and natural leadership, setting the tone on both ends of the floor. Constantly active, he moves without the ball, gets himself open and works relentlessly every possession. With 11.2 points on 55% shooting offensively he can hurt defenses from anywhere on the floor and if you give him an inch he attacks the hole aggressively and will finish with ease through any contact. Defensively he’s always in your face, bringing intensity, energy and effort that lifts his teammates and disrupts opponents

I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen from Tiden this summer. He surely shows flashes of a great scorer who keeps teammates involved, competes on both ends of the floor, and is a creative scorer who can get hot at any moment. He’s really showed out as of late as he had a solid showing in Fall league as the teams primary scorer, he came out to a showcase of ours and proved himself as a competitor in this class and this past weekend at the Uprise event he also was one of the standouts on the day as he was able to set the tone for Denver West. He’s a player who had solid numbers as a junior but think he will have an even better senior season. He’s a player to keep an eye on, and he has made a significant jump since the last rankings.

Tiden plays off instinct and feel, and we saw that throughout the event. He’s quick, athletic, and scored creatively off the dribble. Tiden’s ability to score from all three levels separates him. He can hit the 3, stop on a dime and score, or change speeds downhill for finishes. Tiden doesn’t force possessions and just takes what the defense gives him. Against Columbine, he handled the ball, controlled pace, and still found scoring windows against a strong defense where he put up 15 points. He’ll be one of the engines for West this year, especially with their guard-driven identity.

Silver-Colbert has really come on this fall with his smooth offensive game and ability to create off the dribble. He’s difficult to guard one on one thanks to his shiftiness and control, using quick changes of direction and strong footwork to keep defenders guessing. His step back jumper is quick, balanced and efficient which allows him to create space and knock down shots with confidence. When he attacks he does so with purpose, showing the ability to drive hard to the rim and finish or draw defenders to open up teammates. Silver-Colbert’s combination of creativity, handles and scoring versatility has him making his case and steadily climbing the rankings

Silver-Colbert showed off his scoring ability at The Expo with a smooth offensive game that kept defenders on edge. He has a quick confident release from three, knocking down shots with range and consistency. His step back jumper was a reliable weapon, creating separation and making him tough to guard one on one. In addition to his perimeter shooting, Silver-Colbert navigated through traffic well, using his handle and body control to get to his spots on the floor. Whether pulling up off the dribble or creating space for a clean look, he found ways to score efficiently. His ability to combine shot making and movement makes him a dangerous offensive threat

is a well-rounded 6’2 shooting guard who sticks to his matchup like glue. On offense, Silver-Colbert scores on all three levels. Having developed his interior game, Silver-Colbert absorbs contact and earns multiple trips to the foul stripe each game. The intangibles are what make a player shine, and Silver-Colbert’s mental approach to basketball puts him a step ahead of the competition. With a lethal jumpshot and a quick handle, Silver-Colbert is set up for a huge finale season at Denver West.

demonstrates his love for the game through hard defense and constant effort. Distributing the ball is easy for Silver-Colbert, who always has his head on a swivel. When given an inch of room on the perimeter, Silver-Colbert can either knock down easy 3 pointers or take his defender off the drive and convert at the rim. Going into his senior year, expect Silver-Colbert to elevate his play style.
