Expert Analysis
Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
Helping spearhead Calvary’s runaway win over Frisco Heritage (TX), Zhu was the most notable unsigned senior guard over the course of the day. An accomplished member of the Chinese junior national team, he was able to control the point of attack on both ends of the floor, showing a dynamic skillset both off the dribble and as a jump shooter while playing aggressive on-ball defense on the other end. Zhu played with consistent energy while navigating his way downhill for tough finishes in traffic or confidently hunting his spots for smooth pullups out to the perimeter. He finished with 16 points while adding 5 assists and 5 steals, showcasing himself as a clear D1 talent with his two-way ability in the backcourt.

A Wigg Elite came out firing with a huge run to open the game that was fueled by Zhu. A guard with fast and strong hands, Zhu had a couple steals where he ripped the ball from offensive players and also was tough on the glass. Zhu scored mostly in the paint, with a tip in layup, a tough lefty finish and a breakaway dunk being notable buckets I saw. If Zhu can consistently knock down perimeter shots, I’d be a big fan of his game. Quality utility guard who makes a two way impact.

execution converts plays from multiple looks on the floor. Zhu’s size does not limit his ability to play both positions on the screen and roll. This included a low-high play where he began in the low post, and set a screen on the ball handling the forward’s defender, creating a mismatch. He is a scoring threat, his game provides a variety of ways to be efficient and create a high value of good looks at the basket or scoring opportunities for his teammates.

continues to push for the #1 PG spot with one impressive showing after another. Zhu may be the most skilled player in Georgia’s 2025 class. He’s an extremely crafty ball-handler that keeps it on a string and utilizes different speeds. Zhu can also hit shots from just about anywhere on the floor and doesn’t need much time or space to get his feet set. While he’s a bit undersized for a HM guard prospect, Zhu’s athleticism can sneak up on you and we’ve witnessed multiple above-the-rim highlights this spring. He currently holds offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Mercer, UCF, and Alabama A&M.

may not play for a big name high school or a sponsored circuit team but he’s managed to establish himself as a top 10 prospect in Georgia’s 2026 class. Zhu is extremely creative with the ball, able to break down defenders and create scoring opportunities in the pick and roll. While he’s a bit undersized, Zhu is lethal from the three-point line and beyond. Zhu currently holds offers from Georgia Tech, Auburn, UCF, Mercer, and Alabama A&M.

has really sprung onto the scene over the past year and his development has been a thing of beauty under coach Chuck Person. Zhu’s IQ really separates him from other guards. He sees the floor extremely well and knows how to get to his spots. While he may be a bit undersized, Zhu’s craftiness can be a viable work-around and his athleticism may surprise you as well. He holds offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Alabama A&M, Mercer, and Central Florida.
