Nowells was a nightmare for opposing guards. The 6’2 guard combined lockdown on-ball defense with physical strength, forcing turnovers and disrupting ball handlers. On the offensive end, Nowells knocked down shots off the catch and used a quick pull-up to keep defenders off balance. He averaged 23.5 points across two games, making his impact felt on both ends.

Nowells was a bright spot for the Titans in a 75-61 loss to Notre Dame (CT). The junior is another scoring lead guard in a loaded 2027 class who is trending up in our state rankings. Nowells has high level quickness and ability to get into the paint, to go along with being a capable shot maker with range. While some of his junior class peers may be more well known, the Olympia HS product is a name that will be popular with college coaches this spring and summer.
