Whitaker averaged 13.6 points per game while shooting lights out as usual for Kentucky Future Elite on their way to reaching the 17u championship game of the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals. He turned it up later in the tournament as he scored 20 points in their Elite Eight and Final Four wins. The 6’2″ guard from Somerset High School was arguably one of the best players on the Circuit throughout the spring and summer and certainly backed that up by reaching the title game on the final weekend.

were the difference early as they were letting it fly and connecting from long distance. Whitaker was running off screens and getting his feet set quickly to connect from three. His most impressive 3-pointer came in transition when all his momentum was going forward and he pulled up and swished the shot from the top of the key. This team is certainly capable of winning the whole thing when championship Sunday tips off tomorrow.

It was another strong weekend on the Prep Hoops Circuit for this Kentucky Future Elite 2024 prospect. Whitaker averaged 18.8 points per game while leading his team to a 3-1 record which was the best in a loaded Pool A. Kentucky Future Elite 2024 was one of the more impressive teams at The Stage this weekend. They turned a perfect 4-0 record along with some truly dominant performances. There were multiple players who deserved All-Tournament recognition, but Whitaker stood out above the rest to earn First Team honors. Whitaker is a talented 6’2″ guard that put up a couple of 20+ point games. He will be a highly sought small college recruit in the surrounding area.
