Turner transferred into CAL after the season had started and struggled to settle in. Now with a full offseason under him, look for Guy to get back to his old self. A shot making playmaker, Turner is a guard with good size and the ability to create open looks for others. While he could be a football player in college, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Guy get some interest from scholarship level schools in basketball.

I thought Turner showed a high feel for the game with nice passes from the wing to set up his teammates. Playing off two feet allows young players to avoid turnovers and Turner usually played off two feet in the paint. Making the extra pass can open the floor up so much for a team and Turner had a couple assists where the extra pass turned a good look into a great look. Combine this passing with the perimeter shot making of Turner and he is a solid offensive prospect. A name to know as we continue to get familiar with Kentucky’s 2027 class.

Turner’s numbers have taken a hit this year compared to his 8th grade season but Boyle is now riding a 5 game win streak that has coincided with improved play from Guy. A bigger point guard who typically shoots the ball at a high level, Turner has been a two year starter for the Rebels and is one of the top 27s in the 12th region.

Guy is more of a facilitator and floor general at the point guard spot than other guards in the class, right now. As an 8th grader, Turner averaged 9 points per game and shot 35% from three while most of his offense came from outside the arc. Also a quarterback on the football field, Turner has some natural leadership skills and is a point guard more in the mold of a Chris Paul than a Ja Morant.

Another big shooter as an 8th grader, Turner is a starter for a Boyle team that is in the middle of the pack in the 12th region but has the pieces to make a run at Rupp if they get it all together. Guy is knocking down 37% of his threes (best on the team with over 10 attempts) and shooting 84% from the free throw line. As he gets better at finishing through contact, look for Turner to be averaging 18-20 points per game in the next few years.
