Randall put an early end to his recruitment with a pledge to Tufts University. A long and mobile big man, Randall is equally active on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. He has terrific positional size and a frame that looks like it’ll be able to fill out more under the guidance of a college strength and conditioning coach. Defensively, he moves impressively well laterally, allowing him to be disruptive and versatile in ball screen defense. He provides steady rim protecting and is a high level rebounder when his motor is all the way up. Offensively, he impresses as a passer out of the high post and when doubles come on the low block. He can step out and occasionally knock down a perimeter shot, but is most effective as a low post scorer, showing great touch turning over either shoulder. Randall’s commitment gives Tufts a terrific piece in the middle to build around as the big man profiles as the type of prospect that could eventually be an all-league defender in the NESCAC.
