Stepping up into the starting lineup for the first time as a junior, Jackson shook off a slow start to provide a key secondary spark with 11 points to help lead the win. Jackson was active getting out in transition, showcasing his swift athleticism as a finisher at the rim. He played decisively off the catch in the halfcourt, attacking efficiently within the flow of the offense. Jackson looks to still be growing and coming into his own physically, which should help to unleash his full potential on the defensive end. He still has to work to become more consistent as a perimeter shooter, but should be on a wide range of college and prep radars by this time next year.

10p 5r 2s 2b vs McDonogh
-Liked the inside-out versatility from Jackson in this one as an athletic wing that is comfortable scoring from 18′ and in. Jackson used an effective shot fake to blow past his matchup in the corner for an inside hand lay off glass, attacked a closeout by going baseline and finishing through the contact for the AND1 lay (hit the ensuing FT), and knocked down a pull-up elbow jumper with ease. Loved his off-ball movement to find pockets in the defense to serve as a connector or scorer whether it was from the high post or on the low block. Jackson also serves as a physical defender capable of guarding bigs on a roster that lacks a lot of size.

Leading UD on both ends in the tight win, Jackson looked ready to step up notably from the reserve role he played as a sophomore. A rugged two-way wing, he set the tone as the Cardinals built an early lead with Jackson’s defensive playmaking helping spark transition offense. He showed an improving ability to create his own shot off the bounce while staying within the flow and making smart, unselfish decisions. With further refinement as a shooter over the next couple years, Jackson will have a chance to put himself on scholarship radars given his physical tools and two-way approach.

As a sophomore Jackson earned significant playing time on a deep and talented UD squad that has won 23 straight games and captured the Suburban One League as well as the District 1-5A titles. Jackson is an athletic ‘3 & D’ prospect with an automatic shooting stroke. He also possesses the speed and finishing skills to thrive as a lane filling wing in transition. This past season Jackson frequently capped fast breaks with a crowd-pleasing flush. When he was not popping threes in the half-court, Jackson slashed to the cup for a catch and lay-in. Jackson also crashed the offensive glass for put backs. Jackson’s outstanding 2024-25 season was highlight by games of 19 points (3 threes) vs. Octorara and 14 points (4 triples) against [highschool_tooltip highschool_id=’2584763′ name=’William Tennent’]. Defensively, Jackson guarded 2 through 5, was a fierce shot blocker and plus rebounder. In short, Jackson has the potential to be the next star player for the storied UD program.
