Faley has committed to throw for Iowa in track and field, but he’s also a really good basketball player who uses his size and strength well on the glass and as an interior scorer. He averaged 16.5 points and 7.3 rebounds a game as a junior for the Golden Eagles on 60% shooting and 82.6% from the free-throw line. He’s added a little bit of range and a face-up game to his arsenal over the last year-and-a-half, which when paired with his footwork and touch around the rim, makes him a strong all-around scoring threat for Wahlert.

Faley will be on the track and field team at Iowa as a thrower, but he would have been a good Division II/NAIA-level prospect had he chosen the basketball route. A 6-7 forward with good footwork and touch, he showed last year that he can score both inside and out for the Golden Eagles en route to averaging 16.5 points and 7.3 rebounds a game.
