The older Tanny brother, Brayden is a tough, well-built combo forward who is tenacious on the glass on both ends of the floor. He does a great job using his big, physical frame to control the painted area on both ends, and he’s a good passer out of the mid-to-high-post area, dishing out 4 assists out of that spot. He shot just 1-4 from the floor against Kennedy, but was 11-14 from the free-throw line, which suggests that he could add some range to his game. He had 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals for the Golden Eagles in the win.

Tanny led Western Dubuque in scoring (9.8) and rebounding (5.0) last season and has transferred to play his junior year at Wahlert Catholic. A talented wing with good size and length at 6-5, he has the ability to score from all three levels and defend multiple positions. He should make a big impact with the Golden Eagles.

was a force of nature at the

Hoops Expo. Brayden was unstoppable around the rim at this event. He was elite at getting downhill and manufacturing paint touches for himself on his drives. And once he got to the paint, he showed a great ability to power through contact for strong finishes. As a shooter, he was great both off the catch and off the dribble. And his shooting threat created many hard closeouts from defenders, aiding his driving game. On defense, he showed many flashes as well. He was very active and got into passing lanes many times for steals.

Tanny had a really nice sophomore year at Western Dubuque, averaging 9.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game before transferring to Wahlert for his junior year. His length can impact the game, and he has a really high IQ and feel for the game. I’m looking forward to seeing his versatility on display on both ends of the floor.

Tanny was a role player for the Bobcats as a freshman and will step into a significant role as a sophomore. He provides good size and length on the wing with the ability to create plays off the dribble. He can attack hard off the dribble and get to the bucket for finishes.
