Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
Familiar with the post-grad route after his brother took a year at Perkiomen (PA) before moving on to the D3 level, Corrao will head to Peddie in the fall after finishing up at Archbishop Carroll (PA). A versatile big with plenty of experience in the gauntlet of the Philly Catholic League, he’s an impactful floor-spacer and rim protector with nice complementary skill as a passer and ballhandler from the frontcourt. Corrao made a big step this season in terms of consistent production and impact, and he’ll have a wide range of D1 interest if he’s able to continue that trend into his post-grad year while working to add strength to his frame.

Despite a season-opening loss, Corrao continued a strong run of play while further establishing himself as one of the region’s premier unsigned frontcourt prospects. The senior hybrid big poured in 24 points, continuing to turn potential into production as a floor-spacer while knocking down five 3s, with multiple coming on the move or even off the dribble. He used his size and length to take care of business near the rim as a consistent factor on the glass and frequent visitor to the foul line after seeking out contact in traffic. Corrao left little doubt as to why his blend of size and inside-out skill has drawn attention from several D1 programs.

Corrao continues to develop with time and should see an increased role with Carroll due to a handful of departures. His size and length down low allows him to contest shots and take up space. He should be a walking double-double this season. I think he has a breakout year.

Corrao has been a factor in the Patriot lineup since his freshman year, gradually rising up the rotation to now be ready to take on a central role up front as a senior. After struggling with injury through much of his junior year, the skilled forward is now fully healthy and ready to thrive as an inside-out frontcourt presence. Corrao fits the modern game with his ability to step onto the perimeter as a shooter, facilitator, and dribble-drive threat while also looking improved of late with his athleticism and physicality as a finisher in the paint. He brings effective length and timing as a rim protector with flashes of ability keeping smaller players in front of him in space. It should be just a matter of time before a D1 program pulls the trigger on the high-academic forward.

One of the top remaining unsigned forwards in the region, Corrao made a statement with a loud 20-point effort as he led Carroll to a big early lead that they would hold onto throughout. Looking more athletic and aggressive than we’d seen in the past, he was effective running the floor for easy dunks that helped kickstart the momentum. Known as more of a perimeter-oriented big man, he stepped outside for a trio of smooth 3s to help pull opposing rim protectors out of the paint and open up driving lanes for his guards. If he continues knocking down shots at such a clip while showing the same increased aggression near the rim, it should be only a matter of time before a D1 program pulls the trigger on Corrao as a developmental bet in the frontcourt.

Corrao is a sharp-shooting guard with the ability to stretch the floor. He can catch fire quickly and change the momentum of a game with his shooting streaks. In addition to his shooting, he can put the ball on the floor and get to the basket when defenders overcommit. When Corrao gets going, he becomes a major offensive weapon for his team.

12p 7r 1b vs St. John’s
-Corrao worked for everything he got in this one, with 5 of his rebounds coming on the offensive glass to show his effort to rebound out of his area around the basket. Flashed some nice skill by going 2/3 from beyond the arc and attacking the rim with several nice drives that were started from the wings. With good positional size, motor, and a nose for the basketball– I think Corrao could end up developing into a nice 3+D wing if the shooting holds up at higher volume and he can quicken his lateral movement skills at the defensive end of the floor. His ability to produce without needing plays run for him takes some of the pressure off the guards around him.

Earlier this long and talented forward prospect took an unofficial visit to Penn. That on campus meet and greet must have gone well because the Quakers staff gave Corrao an offer after that visit. In 2024-25 Corrao contributed 7 points and 5 rebounds per game.

Early in the 2024-25 season this stretch 4 / 5 prospect has displayed as much improved skill set. The development of Corrao’s footwork and bag of interior moves has led to increased production in the paint. It also appears that Corrao added muscle to his frame which has enabled him to be a bigger presence on the glass at both ends. Plus, Corrao has always been able to drain spot up threes or triples out of pick and pop action. In Carroll’s win over James Monroe (NY), Corrao posted a stat line of 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Corrao already holds offers from mid-major programs like Marist and Manhattan.

Corral keeps getting better every time I evaluate him. He was able to alter shots and rebound. He is really good at rim running. He showed that he could stretch defenses with his shooting. Corrao found open teammates in the right spots on the floor. He also converted on a lot of looks inside of six feet.
