Joe Esquivel-Murphy | Prep Hoops Scout
Xiong is a skilled front court prospect who should put his game on display this season. The 6’11 forward has a good shooting stroke and makes opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. Xiong can also put the ball on the floor and is able to find open space in the dunker spot in the half court. He is an underrated rebounder and uses his length to influence shots around the rim. Xiong is a lanky forward prospect who should stretch the floor and protect the rim during the course of the season.

This stretch-4 prospect with tremendous size and an accurate long range shooting stroke recently took an unofficial visit to Penn. Xiong can drain threes and score in close via post ups and by operating in the dunker spot. On defense, Xiong’s wingspan makes him an intimidating shot blocker.

Xiong recently took an unofficial visit to Penn. Based on his outstanding play on the spring grassroots circuit, it is easy to see why the Quakers staff is interested in him. Xiong is a stretch-4 prospect with tremendous size and an accurate long range shooting stroke. In close, he scores via drop steps and as well as flip hooks over the top of defenders. Xiong has also displayed the ability to finish from the dunker spot off a power dribble. This high IQ prospect can also drag his defender out to the arc and pop threes. If opponents attempt to defend Xiong on the perimeter with a guard, he will use his size to shoot over that player with ease. On defense, Xiong’s wingspan makes him a remarkable shot blocker.
