Banek brought consistent activity on the defensive end, comfortably rotating early to swat away shots at the rim. Fairly mobile to defend multiple positions, the wing provided well rounded defense at this event and will keep the same value over at Fossil Ridge. Hitting a few threes out behind the arc, his upside as spot-up shooter will be important towards rounding out the offensive game.

Banek brings athletic abilities not found often from the forward position, a threat to throw down dunks or swat away shots with ease. Getting more comfortable operating out of the pick and roll, he finds success diving early for quick finishes before the defense can relocate on help. Particularly as he gets more comfortable finishing above the rim, the forward will be quite a pest in the paint for opposing defenses. The defensive end is where Banek has the most upside, already capable of guarding three positions while still having room for growth on that end.

One of the more athletic forwards in this class, Banek is getting even more opportunity of late, improving his shot selection in the halfcourt. Becoming more comfortable attacking a closeout head on, he threw down multiple dunks when the lane happened to open up. Defensively, his lateral quickness and bounce allows him to play against a wide variety of positions.

The bouncy forward brings so much upside to the table, particularly on the defensive side of the floor. Fairly nimble to switch between backcourt and frontcourt opponents, Banek has found success as a utility guy who is unrelenting on loose balls.

Banek worked to stay active for passes around the rim, contributing on a few contested layups in traffic thanks to his off-ball movement. The forward is continuing to work in the paint to draw contact, often initiating out of a spin move while possessing downhill momentum on a drive. His help side rotations have helped stunt drives, utilizing his quick verticality to swat away attempts.
