Peterson can’t be slept on anymore because he showed late in the season that he can consistently create and score in multiple ways. His shifty handle, ability to attack the rim, knock down shots and make smart cuts make him a constant threat on offense. That string of double digit scoring nights wasn’t a fluke and it showed growth, confidence and versatility. He can change the flow of a game with his playmaking and scoring, making him a player teams have to account for every possession. Peterson’s all around offensive skill and late season impact put him firmly on the radar

Fossil Ridge has a dangerous trio that they funnel the ball to, and everyone else around them fills in the pieces. A player who has stepped up and been a complementary piece has been a 6’3 junior combo guard

. Peterson is on a tear right now as his team is riding a 6-game winning streak in conference play. He’s been efficient from the field, has knocked down the 3 ball, and even stepped in and been one of the team’s best rebounders. He fills in the gaps when needed and is putting it together. He’s had a couple of double-digit performances, including a 14-assist outing, and it goes to show how versatile he is. He’s a player who has his team playing really well right now, and that does not go unnoticed, just because it’s not ONLY in the scoring department. Solid prospect

We got to see Fossil Ridge this past week, and a name that stood out to us was Peterson. Peterson doesn’t need volume to make an impact, and that’s what separates him. He’s on a roster with size and interior options and finds ways to fill the gaps. He also stood out for checking off a ton of boxes. He was defending, spacing, cutting, and making smart reads. Against Chaparral, he knocked down shots, guarded multiple positions, and stayed ready when his number was called. His value shows in the margins, and Fossil Ridge leans on him to keep things connected. True glue-guy energy and a clear X-factor.

brings a scoring mentality to any team he’s on. This summer, Peterson has been able to drive at will on defenders and earn himself multiple trips to the foul stripe each game. With a handle on a string and a high motor, Peterson is a nightmare for any opposing defense to take care of.

Excelled at shooting the three ball — whether he was coming off screens, knocking down open looks, or pulling up off the dribble, he consistently made defenses pay.

A true two-way combo guard who lit it up throughout the event. He was an elite floor spacer, knocking down shots from deep and consistently stretching the defense. Played with confidence and rhythm, making teams pay when given any space. On the other end, he competed defensively—showing good instincts, lateral quickness, and the ability to guard multiple back court positions.

A three-point specialist with a quick trigger and high release — easily the best shooter from deep I saw at the event. Got hot in a hurry, knocking down three or four straight from beyond the arc, including contested looks. Moves well without the ball and consistently relocates to open space, providing elite floor spacing. A confident shot taker and maker who can play on or off the ball. Also brought toughness on the defensive end, showing scrappiness and effort

is State 38’s leading scorer and facilitator. Peterson provides coaches with the right balance of distributing the rock while attacking the rim to score. At 6’1, Jaimeson already has an advantage over most guards, but his quick first step to blow by defenders and create space for himself separates him from other guards. A communicator with bursts of energy, Peterson is relentless game in and game out.

Albeit low usage, Peterson has been excellent as a complementary shooter with Fossil Ridge, bringing a smooth release to add to an already excellent floor spacing group. Certainly someone who could be due for more opportunity if an injury takes place, we cannot forget about his 17 point performance with 5 threes against Grandview earlier in December.

Peterson will be a name to follow in Fossil Ridge’s rotation through the coming seasons, among the better floor spacers for this group currently. This team brings in a swath of dependable perimeter shooters, although Peterson has aided their group’s constant energy with his minutes off the bench. Still a serviceable help defender, he has worked to disrupt opposing shot takers on drives, actively clogging the paint.
