Expert Analysis

Bobby Lopez

Prep Hoops Scout

Genzlinger is on the watchlist and someone to know in part of the defensive value we believe he can bring moving forward. His timing and instincts around the basket should allow him to become a reliable presence as a help defender, especially when plays break down and opponents get into the paint. He has the tools to rotate from the weak side, challenge shots and make teams think twice about attacking the rim. As he continues to develop his positioning and overall defensive consistency, we see him having the potential to become a dependable interior defender and a player who can impact games without needing the ball in his hands
