About Devion

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

When it comes to my game, I’d describe my style as smooth, shifty, and fast-paced. I read the floor quickly — making plays before most defenders can react. My quick first step and determined drive to the basket set the tone for my offense, and when the lane closes, I can pull up with a clean jumper from the elbow. I’m not your average point guard — my game has its own rhythm, and that’s what makes

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My strength and motivation come from God, guided by the verse John 3:16. I believe everything I do is through Him. My family pushes me to give my best on and off the court. I understand basketball is a team effort, so I stay composed and focused, keeping my emotions in check. To maintain a strong mindset, I practice yoga and meet regularly with a mental coach through the MOKAN organization.

The PCN Panther had it going in the mid-range on Saturday. Has a variety of dribble moves he can chain together to get the split second needed to rise up and hit tough shots. Even hit jumpers over some of the better defenders at the camp. Really starting to come into his athleticism, looking faster on drives while maintaining his smooth play that makes him such a scoring threat. A spring and summer of national competition looks to have treated him well ahead of a potential breakout sophomore campaign for 6A contenders PCN.
