McNeely is a hard nosed wing, who cleans up on the glass and is never afraid to step in and take a charge. At the high school level, he can cover one through five. Works hard to move his feet against guards and can muscle up against most Oklahoma post players. Improved perimeter shooting and cutting to the basket help him be a scoring threat in the halfcourt. The fight and mindset he brings to the court could be the difference in helping a talented Panthers team to another State Tournament appearance.

McNeely is a hard nosed prospect, who is one of the best at “staring in his role” in Oklahoma. With long arms and tenacity, he plays bigger than his size around the basket. Even willing to take charges (how often do you see that in highlight videos?). An important development to his game has been improving shooting in the mid-range and from three. Which also allows him to attack mistmatches when taller players step out to cover him. Even in highlight tapes, it’s clear that McNeely is a prospect who does the little things to add up to a big impact.

Toughness and versatility will open doors at the next level, especially regarding finding fit and rising a programs’ floor everyday in practice. In watching McNeely make the jump to 6A this past season and play on Saturday, he seems to be just that. Understands his role, and plays it with toughness and pride. Is a switchable defender, who also isn’t afraid to stick his nose in there and attempt to take charges. Physical on the block when matched up with skinnier players. The PCN Panther uses his strong frame to either bully his way to the hoop, or make the right pass when he draws a crowd. As long as McNeely continues to his hard hat wearing ways, opportunities should emerge for him.

McNeely joins Class 6A and will play a crucial role for a guard heavy Panther team. The Swiss Army Knife forward looks set to make his mark as a switchable defender, who can also help out on the glass. Especially as the junior wing looks to have a nose for rebounding on the offensive glass. With a good mid-range and strong driving style, McNeely is sure to pop up with key buckets as well. Expect his fingerprints to be all over wins for the Panthers, even if he’s not having loud scoring nights.

With a football player’s frame, McNeely represent an important versatile tool for a Classen SAS program that is on the rise. He’s no stranger to contact, willing to battle for rebounds while also posting up mismatches to finish strongly around the rim. But also has developing perimeter skills, capable of stretching the floor with the occasional three pointer. There’s also good signs with good court vision and awareness, meaning there’s potential for him to help facilitate the offense in the halfcourt. Look for the 405 wing prospect to play a big role for a Classen SAS team that is looking for their first Class 4A State Tournament appearance since 2021.
