-Saw the floor very well, made alot of timely passes

-Has quality handles even when being guarded tightly

-Shooting stroke looks good, ball and follow through has a nice look to it when it leaves his hand

-Liked his transition game with or without the basketball

-Skilled offensive player who doesn’t realy have a weakness on that end of the floor

-Has good length and strength for a guard

-Liked how he was tough in the rebounding department on both ends of the floor

-Impressed me this club season w/ Bears Tail, nice size & skill

-Primed for a huge high school season, I think he will be All-Region

-Does he stick out as one of the top guards at the event?

Guss had a very solid frosh season and put up noteworthy numbers. If I were a betting man, Dawson will have an All-Region season this coming year. I like his length for a young guard; his skills are sharp, and he hoops with a calm demeanor. He is a gifted offensive player who is no stranger to scoring in double digits and is a clever defender. Emerson Marum Emerson Marum 6'1" | CG Bottineau | 2027 State ND and Dawson Guss Dawson Guss 6'1" | PG Bottineau | 2029 State ND are going to cause all kinds of problems for opposing backcourts.

-Has looked very good in club hoops, intriguing skills & he will keep growing

-Well-rounded ball player, hoops hard, great feel & reactions, only getting better

PHD was impressed with his game this winter. Guss had a breakout season. Dawson is a true PG who will knock down the shot if given to much space. His defensive footwork and long arms give opposing G’s nightmares. Dawson makes winning plays, whether it’s diving for the ball or taking a charge. He started every game this season. Dawson could have easily been an All-Region Player. Guss has a bright future in hoops.
