Ty looked on a different level in a win on Saturday, as his strength was full display. He was relentless attacking the rim, making one move to get downhill. He was great at absorbing contact and drawing fouls, as the defenders had no choice but to foul the freshman guard. He is a threat to shoot it from deep, connecting on triples, also pushing the pace and getting everyone involved with his facilitating. Barman, the division 1 offered football player, looked like a man amongst boys playing 15U.

The future D1 athlete led his squad to a perfect 4-0 record. Barman was a beast all over the court. He put a ton of pressure on the defense by always being in “attack mode”. Ty was in the paint early and often. In one game, Barman shot an impressive 12 free-throws. That is very rare in club basketball!

Barman is one of the top players to watch this weekend in the 15U Division at the Battle At The Lakes after an incredible All-State freshman season and a strong start this spring in club ball. As just a 9th grader, Barman averaged 20.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 3 steals per game while helping lead his team to the State Tournament. What makes Ty stand out is his explosive athleticism, high motor, and ability to impact the game in multiple ways. He plays with energy, competes hard on both ends, and is a powerful dunker who can completely change momentum with his athletic plays. His upside is extremely high, and it’s easy to see why he already holds multiple Division 1 football offers while drawing interest from many more programs. Barman is simply a high-level athlete with a bright future and a name everyone should know heading into the weekend.

Big, strong, college-ready build with the athleticism to match. He attacked the basket with the mentality to put somebody in the rim, embracing contact at the rim before rising with force and finishing with power and authority, highlighted by a fastbreak poster dunk that showed his vertical pop and aggression. A constant pressure point when he got downhill. Within the flow of the game, he thrived hitting open catch-and-shoot shots, cutting with purpose, and making timely plays without needing high usage. Defensively, he competed with energy and versatility, guarding multiple positions, rebounding his position well, and bringing a high motor every possession.

Ty is at his best when he’s attacking the basket. He also shot just under 40% on 3-pointers, so defenders must get out & guard. Ray had an excellent year, finishing at 26-2 and 3rd place in Class B. Ty was named 1st team All-State by the media. 20.8 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 4.1 apg, 3 spg, 64 FG%, 73 2FG%, 38 3FG%, 75 FT%. D1 level athleticism, has multiple football offers, playmaker, mismatch nightmare, explosive. Plays very hard, hustles, does it all, human highlight-reel. Ty is a Top-Performer every time he steps on the court.
