A well-rounded contributor who impacted winning with instincts, effort, and efficiency. Great hands both offensively and defensively, as a rebounder and defender always finding a way to get hands on the ball. He played with timing, anticipation, and a ball hawk mentality, jumping passing lanes, poking balls loose, and securing rebounds in traffic. Hayes also scored within the offense well for a defensive-minded player, taking advantage of what the defense gave him and finishing plays within the flow.

After a highly impressive 8th grade season, Hayes transferred to Ray. He spent this past season as 6th man or starting based on matchups. Cooper was a solid role player for the Jays who took 3rd at State. Cooper has one of the best floaters in North Dakota. He’s always in the right spot defensively and is an A+ rebounder for a guard. His defensive intensity was key in Ray’s run to the State Tournament.
