is a lethal sharpshooter who makes defenses pay a high price for failing to step up. Shooting 32% from three on the year, May thrives in any catch-and-shoot situation. As the season has progressed along with the playoffs, May’s confidence has skyrocketed through the roof, nailing mid-range looks on the move while expanding his range even further out from the three-point line. At 6’1, May enjoys using his size to attack the paint and earn a multitude of trips to the foul stripe each game. Capping off his high school tenure, May can smile knowing he finished as the #6-ranked guard in the class, with the future looking bright as ever.
May seems to thrive when the lights are brightest, and he delivered another big time performance to help Rock Canyon pull off the upset and advance to the championship. He finished with 19 points and 4 assists, once again stepping up in key moments. May plays with an energy that’s contagious, constantly pushing the pace and bringing confidence to his team. When momentum starts to swing, he has a knack for hitting big shots that ignite the crowd and get his team rolling. His ability to rise to the moment and make winning plays continues to be a major reason Rock Canyon is heading to the championship

is the one player who some can question if he belongs besides these other big names on this list at this stage, but that just means you haven’t been watching lately. May might’ve had the biggest performance on the day at the Coliseum on Friday. He was relentless as a scorer who hit big shots, he stayed on the attack, and when Grandview tried to key in on him, he made the right reads. He’s versatile and a player who takes what the defense gives him. He’s a three-level scorer who plays with confidence, and they will need him to continue being a two-way force if they want to come out with the win. He had a game-high 20 points, he made plays on defense, and his stellar play can keep the season alive.
May is a 6’2 guard/wing who is having his best season. He’s also the team’s wild card, and that has opposing teams trying to figure him out. He stretches the floor at times, finishes in traffic, rotates the ball, and cuts and moves without the ball. He offers versatility and battles in games. He checks off plenty of boxes, and that is what makes him one of the top X-factors in the conference. He’s a top glue guy type of player who can help them bring home a state championship.
What started as flashes has turned into a trend for May. He was excellent at Uprise events and Colorado Live, and just backed it up again with steady, downhill scoring and confident shot-making. He doesn’t need plays run for him as he’s always working. He finds gaps, reads defenses, and makes tough shots look routine. As a two-way presence and natural bucket-getter, his stock is trending up fast and now we want it to translate to the season.
Davis set the tone early in the event, and that carried on throughout. In his game against Eaglecrest he was confident as a downhill scorer, and picked his spots with patience. He put up 15 points and put up double-digit scoring in each game. He hit tough shots and stayed steady as a scoring presence all game. Rock Canyon didn’t need to run sets for him, but the ball naturally found him because of how he moves and reads defenses. He was a two-way impact guy who will be a key bucket-getter for them all season. It was great to see him in this setting to set up for that.
May impressed with confident shot-making, floor spacing, and off-ball movement. He finished around the rim with touch and competed defensively and on the glass. He’s a glue-guy with strong instincts who complements scoring-heavy teammates by doing the little things. May’s size, feel, and willingness to make hustle plays made him a valuable two-way contributor.
A stabilizing presence with Rock Canyon, May reads the floor quickly to either attack the rim or make the extra pass for their elite perimeter shooters. At roughly 6’2, he is a strong guard who handles contact well on either end, working well in a complementary role. That physicality has allowed him to draw numerous free throws, maximizing his looks alongside the ample floor spacing on this roster. Through his first few games, May has put up 5.9 points per game against a few talented programs in and out of state.
May routinely creates scoring opportunities for himself around the rim, a quick decision maker when reading the defense. Adept at leveraging closeouts for driving lanes, May looks to draw contact around the rim, as well as an efficient free throw shooter.
May brings aggression while attacking the rim, an assertive playmaker with the ball. Constantly looking to pressure the rim, he has been dependable drawing in contact while on the attack. Defensively, he is a pesky perimeter defender who looks to create chaos at either the point of attack or from the help side.
