Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Robison is a player we’ve written about a few times now as we saw him have a big Expo performance as a wing/forward who runs the break and has athletic finishes and he also got out to an event over the Summer where he stood out as a top performer as well. He’s stacking solid performances and could possible jump in as a role player who I feel could really make an impact if he plays how we’ve been seeing him. He has good size, he’s a versatile defender and when locked in he’s a very tough cover. If he continues to work hard and show that he could be a two-way force I could see him being a role player this year. We’re high on Robison and want to see more of him. He’s making his rankings debut and could rise or fall with the season quickly approaching.

Robison got better as the day went along as he adjusted to speed but once he saw a basket go in and he got a couple of rebounds, he started to take over. If he plays anything like he did at the Expo he will be a major varsity contributor. Robison has great size and he’s very athletic. He was running the break and got plenty of fast break finishes, he rebounded with two hands and started the break himself, and made himself available at the rim. Robison finished with either hand and used his body well to establish position. He also had a dunk and a few mid range baskets and if he can put it altogether he’ll be dangerous. His upside is high and he’s an under the radar player who I feel will earn more looks. Liked what I saw from Robison, and that builds on his last outing when he got on my radar.

Robison flashed some intriguing tools throughout the weekend and had his moments. The left-handed wing has good size, covers ground with ease, and does a nice job timing his cuts to become an easy target around the basket. Teammates occasionally found him and finished. He attacked gaps, finished through contact, and got some tough buckets. He also used his athleticism to grab rebounds and start the break, and that is what I really like. He could surely be a solid two-way option if he focuses on that end of the floor with his size, strength, and athleticism. As he begins playing with consistent urgency every possession, his impact could take another jump. He’s definitely a name I’ll continue following, as I liked what I saw from him. Very high ceiling on him.
