About Jace

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a disciplined player with high IQ. I'm highly effective at scoring, and equally good at facilitating by utilizing my teammates with my accurate passing abilities. On offense I'm strong in these areas: scorer/play-maker/floor spacer. I'm a strong on-the-ball defender. I would say that I'm a versatile all-around player.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have strong work ethic and I'm focused and disciplined.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a two-time Aurora Scholar recipient from the City of Aurora. Mayor Mike Coffman has presented me with this award for my athletic and academic accolades. Two kids per school are chosen yearly to represent the City of Aurora, and I've been chosen twice.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I developed leadership skills by leading by example academically and athletically. I'm a highly respected teammate, and a highly respected peer in the classroom, holding a 4.0 GPA consistently. I volunteer at local basketball tournaments as well as a dog shelter called Soul Dog Rescue.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I suffered a knee injury early on in middle school called Osteochondritis dissecans (OCD). I had to take 4 months off of all athletic activities to allow my knee to heal fully.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'd like to one day become a Veterinarian so it would be important to find schools that have Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) programs or have the ability to transfer to it eventually.

Williams is embracing the challenge of playing up in competition, and it’s going to pay dividends in his development. He showed confidence running the point, handling pressure and controlling the pace against older, more physical defenders. His handle allowed him to break down defenders and get into the lane, where he made plays as both a scorer and facilitator. He attacked with purpose, finishing in traffic while also creating clean looks for teammates. What stood out most was his poise he didn’t seem rushed, stayed composed and made smart decisions with the ball. This experience should accelerate his growth and set him up for a strong summer
