Camar is the definition of shifty and was so fun to watch fly around the floor and make big plays on both sides of the ball on Sunday. He came away with numerous steals, was poking the ball loose, and was just making life difficult for opposing ball handlers. He is a threat to score from beyond the arc and attacked the rim very well for size. He went to a smooth pull-up shot in the mid-range as well that I saw. Blades is another standout guard in the Park Center system and has the potential to see some varsity minutes off the bench next year as a sophomore.

is a five-foot-seven-inch guard from Park Center High School. If you only could describe his game one way you say, fast. Blades is a quick first step guard that can navigate and attack the secondary defender on ball screen action. When gathering rebounds he will immediately look to find sprinting teammates like he did with the left handed half-court pass he made to the sprinting Jenpa for a lay-up.
If you had lined up every player in the gym to sprint the length of the floor and back, I’m not sure anyone would’ve beaten Camar. He’s so quick and explosive, and it was allowing him to make plays all over the floor. Defensively he can jump lazy passes to pick up steals while also applying constant ball pressure to his man. On the other end, defenders had a hard time staying in front of him because of how quick he is with the ball. And don’t let his size fool you, Blades has no fear attacking the basket. Once around the rim he gets some impressive elevation to hang in the air and help him finish in a variety of ways. He was at his best attacking downhill and getting paint touches, but also flashed an outside shot in the second half of the game I watched.
Camar plays with incredible energy and is a player who is always playing at 100%. He is probably the quickest player I saw this past Saturday and can blow past his defender in the blink of an eye with a plethora of different moves. I was constantly seeing defenders bite on his ball fakes, making it even easier for him. Blades is an undersized guard, but I saw him come away with a couple offensive rebounds from just hustling around and reading where the ball will come off of the rim. He was one of the smoothest players I saw at this year’s Freshman Showcase and also has one of the coolest names I have ever seen (not kidding). He will be added to the long list of talent coming out of the Park Center program.
