Another key component in Minnesota Splash’s 4-0 weekend, Elvis was an energizer for this team both on and off the court. Defensively he was constantly putting pressure onto opposing guards, and showed quick hands to reach in and force a few turnovers across the two games I watched. Offensively he excelled as a drive and kick passer, able to get into dangerous areas and force the defense to collapse on him. Even when on the bench Elvis was a vocal presence, constantly cheering on his teammates and getting everyone else fired up with him.

Elvis is another player getting a lot of recognition from the weekend for his effort, speed, and scoring ability. He was blowing by guys to get to the rim and transition and half-court settings, while also knocking down a few threes off the catch. Like most Park Center guards he’s laterally quick, and thrives off of forcing errors from opposing guards with his ball pressure.

Elvis was another Pirate prospect who looked really good on Sunday at The Expo. The 6-foot guard was a problem on the defensive end, playing hard and making the lives of opposing ball handlers very difficult. He was playing well offensively, being a knockdown shooter from the perimeter, as well as being able to operate as a point guard. I really liked how Neckles competed during this summer and it was great to see that again this past weekend.

As has already been discussed across Twitter and a couple other articles, Elvis came out to compete yesterday. Park Center is once again loaded with talent, so I’m not sure how much of the ball Elvis will have during the winter, but the way he competed yesterday has me thinking he could carve out a role as a 3&D type of player. Just pressures the ball hard, fights to get over screens, and sprints the floor in transition. Wasn’t forcing his shot on offense, but was still able to put up numbers by picking his moments to shoot and connecting at a high percentage.

The 6’2” PG never lost confidence when his team was down big vs Greater Purpose. Walked into several 3-pointers in the 2nd half which was part of a key 10-0 run. Also displayed good ball control and separated himself on several instances. Ultimately helped make things a contest in the dying minutes. Especially as a passer. Finished with four 3-pointers in this game.

Elvis impressed in so many different areas in an opening night win. He was bringing the energy and effort on the defensive end, picking up full court to create turnovers. This resulted in a couple easy fast break baskets for his team, allowing Minnesota Splash to go on a run to open up the game. He knocked down several triples off the catch and used the dribble to attack the paint. He has good vision and was finding teammates with kick out or long passes for transition scores.

Elvis was impacting the game in so many positive ways on Sunday. He handled a large portion of the ball handling duties for his team, being a go-to guy late in a tight game. He has a lightning quick first step and found no trouble blowing right by defenders in isolation situations. When he gets to the rim, he has many ways he can finish through traffic, but I also saw him hit his teammates with accurate kick out passes. Neckles can also stretch the floor, as he hit a clutch three in the final minutes of a back and forth game.
