Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
White, a guard out of the Taft School in Connecticut, checks in at #41 among the combo guards and #227 overall. He’s a crafty paint finisher that also does a nice job of making plays for others with the ball in his hands, particularly out of ball screens. He does a good job of creating within the flow of the offense and shows the ability to move off the ball and consistently make shots from behind the arc in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, he can guard either back-court spot and does a nice job of hitting the floor for loose balls or giving up his body to take charges. He has yet to announce his college decision.

White, a heady combo guard out of the Taft School in Connecticut, is another creative scorer than can get his own with the ball in his hands. He does a good job of keeping his center of gravity low, allowing him to quickly burst out of his dribble moves. He operates well in ball screens, doing a good job of balancing hunting his shots and finding hard rollers going to the rim. He’s a capable passer off the bounce, does a good job of spotting up off the ball for catch and shoot opportunities, and can finish over length in the paint with an array of floaters. Defensively, he shows a high IQ and grittiness on that end of the floor. He’s tough on the ball, willing to give up his body for his team, and is the first to the floor for loose balls. He’ll have a chance to prove himself in the NEPSAC this winter and should be on the radar of college coaches going forward.

is a pure-scoring threat with devilish offensive tools. He has crafty finish moves and isn’t afraid to take contact around the rim. White loves to dribble around defenders and use the glass to his advantage. His ability on the inside while undersized is pretty remarkable. White is also a threat from deep on catch-and-shoot opportunities, which set up his inside game perfectly. He also makes solid passing decisions to open teammates in the half court and transition settings. Defensively, he competes hard and will get steals and deflections. White is one to watch as he continues to get more playing time and experience in the coming years.
