+24 (#199 to #175)
Cormier, a forward out of Newburyport High School in Massachusetts, jumped 24 spots to finish at #175 in the rankings. The 6’8″ forward is a floor spacer that does a great job of knocking down threes in catch and shoot situations. His ability to make shots opens up the floor for his teammates and for his off ball movement, where he’s proven to be an instinctive cutter that can finish above the rim in space. On the other end of the floor, he does a nice job of high pointing rebounds and, with his length, is an effective shot blocker both on the ball and when coming from the help side. He remains undecided on his future plans.

Cormier, a forward out of Newburyport High School in Massachusetts, impresses with his combination of size, length, and perimeter skill. The 6’8″ forward has the ability to stretch the floor as a shooter, while also showing good instincts as a roller or pop guy out of ball screens. He does a nice job of running the floor in transition, continues to add strength to his frame, and is a good enough athlete to finish plays above the rim. Defensively, he can rebound in and out of his area, uses his length effectively, and does a nice job of walling up without fouling in the paint. Cormier has the ability to make an immediate impact for the right Division III program next year, but I wouldn’t be suprised to see him go the post-graduate route and potentially play himself to a higher level.

Cormier, a forward out of Newburyport High School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #200. After taking a back-seat last winter on a veteran team at Newburyport, Cormier has shined in the early season so far. The 6’8″ big is a true stretch-forward that has the ability to make shots from behind the arc in catch and shoot situations, as well as a pop guy out of ball screens. He can finish with either hand around the rim, runs the floor hard in transition, and works on the offensive glass to keep possessions alive. Defensively, he’s a plus rim protector with his length, timing, and instincts.

Cormier is an intriguing prospect whose combination of size and skill you simply don’t see in the MIAA. He’s 6-foot-8, but he can handle the ball and has some pretty good wiggle with his footwork and craft in the paint. Hit outside shot is solid, too, though he really needs to make it quicker if he wants to effectively get it off at the next level. Cormier is shaping up to be a pretty awesome post grad candidate as he has recently grown even more and needs some time to figure out his body. Once he does, though, Cormier should be an awesome D3 prospect or could perhaps even go higher if everything goes his way and he grows more.

Cormier, a senior forward out of Newburyport High School, is a good bet to be among the top forwards in the state this winter after operating in a support role last winter. The 6’7″ big man is a terrific two-way rebounder that does a nice job of using his frame to his advantage to carve out space in the paint. He runs the floor well in transition, scores it in a variety of ways around the rim, and has the ability to stretch the floor with his three point shooting. He’s as versatile of an offensive big man as there is in the state.

Cormier is in a PRIME breakout position for Newburyport. The 6-foot-8 forward is going to be the tallest player on basically every MIAA court he’s on this season, which will allow him to dominate the boards and finish near the rim against smaller bigs. But he can also step out and handle, pass and shoot, which makes him a really difficult matchup for opposing centers. He didn’t play a huge role on Newburyport last season, but Cormier should be their best player this year and will likely see tons of post grad opportunities as a result. Big future ahead.
