Fans of Maple Grove were worried when they saw Babou limping off the floor with about five minutes to play against Wayzata. After a couple minutes out where he looked to be icing his knee, Babou came back in and hit two of the biggest shots of the game. Ann got to his spot around the left elbow, hitting a pair of step-back jumpers with a hand right in his face to keep his team out in front. Ann scored 21 points in the win while also spending time guarding a high-major commit on the other end.
