– The 2025 Armoni caught my eye two summers ago at a Prep Hoops Circuit event in a game he just kept making plays. Mid-way through the first half of that game it seemed like all was lost for his team but he just kept pushing and pushing keeping them in the game. Now as a senior at Washburn his game has grown and he still has the same energy on the floor. He’s making multiple 3-pointers more often than not and he’s playing with or without the ball well.

Armoni is an energizer for a balanced Washburn team. Defensively I like his effort to consistently pressure the ball, and his lateral quickness allowed him to constantly cut off opposing ball handlers. Sparked a run in the first half when he knocked down a three, followed up by a steal and lay-up in transition. Someone who can step up as a scorer when needed, but will always bring defensive effort and keep the ball moving in the half-court.

Armoni looks like someone we could see stepping into a bigger role this winter for Washburn. He’s a point guard who makes plays on both ends of the floor, and impressed against Prior Lake on Sunday afternoon. He’s a quick and tenacious defender who pressures the ball hard and is able to force mistakes out of opposing guards. On the offensive end he was at his best getting into the lane and setting up his teammates or making plays as a finisher.

Tough and scrappy defender who showed good lateral quickness defending on the ball. Can sit deep in a stance and slide his feet to cut off opposing guards, and the fight was there to get over screens. Offensively he was an unselfish player who showed good vision hitting his cutters from out on the perimeter.

I think Armoni has a chance to be a key player for Washburn next year. He’s a true floor general for Minnesota Heat Ramos as he’s lightning quick with the ball in his hands, handles it well under pressure, and keeps the ball moving around in the half-court. Armoni was so dangerous in transition as he can fly up the floor and always keeps his eyes scanning so he can quickly decide whether to dish it off or get all the way to the rim and finish on his own. I like him running the pick & roll because he can turn the corner and use his speed to get downhill towards the basket, has the vision to hit his big rolling to the hoop, but was also smart enough to pull it back out if nothing was there.

I was able to catch Armoni play in the final game of the night and he was by far the best player on the floor. The 5’8” sophomore caught fire in the first half, knocking down shot after shot. He did most of his scoring damage from beyond the three-point line, connecting with shots off the dribble and in the catch-and-shoot. I also admired the energy he played with and it was infectious among his teammates all game. Dischinger-Harris also impressed as a floor general and as a finisher as he sprinkled in some scores from inside as well. It was an overall dominant offensive performance from the Washburn sophomore.
