Esteban Lluberes Esteban Lluberes 5'10" | PG Riviera Prep | 2022 State FL (Riviera Prep)
Perhaps one of the fastest downhill point guards you’ll watch, the 5’8″ Lluberes is a young player making his presence known. Nicknamed “Blast”, he led Riviera Prep with 18.0 PPG and most impressively averaged 5.1 RPG along with 4.8 APG and 3.8 SPG. He had double figures in all but one game this past season which included a 35-point outing against Schoolhouse Prep. There are endless reasons why Lluberes is in our top 45 in the 2022 class and he will continue to move up with more progress.
Kdyn Waters Kdyn Waters 6'4" | CG Neosho | 2022 State FL (Cape Coral)
Down in Southwest Florida, Waters (pictured) is someone who was destined to break out this past season. Averaging 20.5 PPG in 16 games for Cape Coral, the 6’3″ guard is not done growing just yet. He has good range, loves to attack, plays with endless IQ and his pure athleticness shows often. He has room to add muscle but he’s well on his way. I expect him to continue to surge up the ranks.
Anthony Davis (Bishop McLaughlin)
Bishop McLaughlin first added head coach Derrick Sharp and his son, 2022 guard Emanuel Sharp Emanuel Sharp 6'5" | SG Bishop McLaughlin | 2022 State #66 Nation FL from Blake. Next, 2022 forward Dillon Mitchell Dillon Mitchell 6'7" | PF Montverde Academy | 2022 State #38 Nation FL transferred over from Sickles. Then, shortly thereafter, the 6’4″ Davis made his announcement that he’d be attending Bishop McLaughlin this fall. The former Blake guard played solid ball next to Sharp, averaging 16.5 PPG and 6.9 RPG. Davis has a smooth handle who can do plenty of work on the boards and on the break. He’s a very talented athlete who moved down from Virginia last year and he has plenty of upside to show off.
Geoffrey Sprouse Geoffrey Sprouse 5'11" | CG Pines Charter | 2022 State FL (Pembroke Pines)
On a deep Pembroke Pines squad that lost in the Class 5A state final, the 5’11” Sprouse is a rising talent in South Florida. He was fourth on the team in points per game (10.9) and that is impressive considering he played alongside three seniors ( Dallas Graziani Dallas Graziani 5'7" | CG Pembroke Pines Charter | 2020 State FL , Osei Price Osei Price 6'4" | CG Pembroke Pines | 2020 State FL , Amarachi Ujagbor Amarachi Ujagbor 6'6" | PF Pembroke Pines | 2020 State FL ) and a talented 2021 guard Javien Flowers-Smith. Sprouse had 15 games in double digits including a season-best 23 points against Northeast in the region semifinal. As he gets taller and stronger, he will make for a heck of a true point man.
Javohn Thomas Javohn Thomas 6'1" | CG Sickles | 2022 State FL (Sickles)
A high IQ point guard, the 6’2″ Thomas makes for a true leader for any offense. Sickles just missed out on the playoffs despite a 20-7 record with the new FHSAA ranking system. Thomas averaged 11.6 PPG, 4.0 RPG and 3.6 APG as a sophomore, a year after being a leader for a new-look squad as a freshman. His best performance came against Steinbrenner as he recorded 30 points on 13 of 16 shooting from the field. A more reliable deep ball mixed with more aggressiveness at the glass and Thomas will be well on his way in a major junior campaign.
