Adrian Bloodworth Adrian Bloodworth 6'0" | CG P.K. Yonge | 2021 State FL (P.K. Yonge)
Bloodworth really transformed his game this past season, leading P.K. Yonge in scoring (17.1 PPG) in just around 24 minutes per game. The 5’9″ guard is very elusive with the ball in our out of his hands. Bloodworth’s speed and his knack for getting to the basket and finishing strong make him a legitimate scoring threat nightly. Colleges need to be watching him play soon.
Omarie Sherrod Omarie Sherrod 5'11" | CG St. Pete | 2021 State FL (St. Pete)
St. Pete was more youthful than usual this past season, but still made a nice run into a Class 6A region final, losing at Fort Myers in an epic five-overtime battle. A major part of the team’s success was the 5’9″ Sherrod. He played a bit as a sophomore, but his confidence this past season as a leader was evident. He can surprise you with his hops and in transition, Sherrod will make you pay with a crafty pass to a teammate or a lay-in. He is maturing quickly.
Trae Martin Trae Martin 6'8" | PF Brooks DeBartolo | 2021 State FL (Brooks DeBartolo)
It is hard to teach size and at Brooks DeBartolo, the 6’7″ Martin is a very intriguing prospect (15.6 PPG, 8.2 RPG and 3.8 BPG). His footwork has certainly improved over the last year and he’s able to finish at the rim or at least earn a trip to the free throw line. Certainly, there is room to add muscle and improve his ballhandling, but working down low is where Martin excels. He is a bigger bodied 2021 prospect to keep a close eye on. Martin has offers from Barry University and St. Petersburg College.
Byntley Theork Byntley Theork 5'10" | PG Naples | 2021 State FL (Naples)
Breaking onto the varsity team as a sophomore averaging nearly 10 PPG, Theork upped the ante as a junior, averaging 15.2 PPG, 5.1 RPG and 3.4 APG alongside fellow 2021 guard Tony Green Tony Green 6'6" | CG Naples | 2021 State FL . Naples made an appearance in the Class 5A state semifinals, where Theork had a team-high 17 points in the loss to Pembroke Pines Charter. The 5’10” quick twitch guard had just five games under 10 points along with six games with 20 or more points. He is a very talented under the radar athlete.
Kenny Turner Kenny Turner 6'6" | PF St. Andrew's | 2021 State FL (St. Andrew’s)
Fresh off a Class 3A state title, the 6’6″ Turner played a true energy role for St. Andrew’s. He was an important piece on the boards and defensively. With 2020 forward Yussif Basa-Ama Yussif Basa-Ama 6'9" | PF St. Andrews | 2020 State #264 Nation FL off to Yale, Turner will slide into the starting lineup next to 2021 6’7″ forward Josh Minott Josh Minott 6'9" | PF St. Andrew's | 2021 State #30 Nation FL . This past season, Turner averaged 4.2 PPG and 3.6 RPG while he compiled 10 games with five or more rebounds and his upside is clear. With more playing time, the better off he will be in terms of his progress this fall.
Jaylen Wharton Jaylen Wharton 6'8" | PF Durant | 2021 State FL (Durant)
Over in Plant City, Durant has a very rangy player in this 6’8″ forward. Wharton is a skinny big who has plenty of tempo and natural athleticness. He is a forward who tries to do some guard like things sometimes, dribbling up the floor and that is where he can improve further on to become more versatile. For now, adding muscle to his frame and being as aggressive as he can be on both ends of the floor will put his name in front of college coaches.
