With just a few games left in the regular season, let’s take a look at the 16th- through 20th-leading shot blockers in Colorado’s Class 4A.
16. Robbie Bauderer, 6-8, C, Skyview, 2019, 1.3 bpg
Already signed with Western Colorado, this guy is a beast on the football field and nothing changes when he laces up the shoes for the hardwood. Bauderer averages a double-double with 18.8 points and 11 rebounds, and blocks 1.3 shots per night.
17. Brady Rose, 6-4, F/G, Standley Lake, 2019, 1.3 bpg
Another talented multi-sport athlete to grace this list, Rose is a solid baseball player as well as a varsity basketball player. When it’s basketball season, Rose makes use of his athleticism to do a number of different things. Through 22 games of his senior season, he is averaging 8.6 points, 7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.
18. James Felton, 6-7, W, Lincoln, 2019, 1.3 bpg
The Lincoln Lancers have played their 23 regular-season games and it’s impressive to look at Felton’s numbers from 2018-19. He averages 17.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. A talented end-to-end win player, don’t get blocked by this kid because that might end in one of your teammates getting dunked on at the other end of the floor.
19. James Shiers, 6-9, PF, Niwot, 2022, 1.3 bpg
There aren’t many 6-foot-9 freshmen just walking around Colorado looking for a place to play, so Niwot may have struck gold when this kid walked into the gym. He’s young and green as a freshman, but in the eight games Shiers played for the Cougars’ varsity squad this winter, he blocked an average of 1.3 shots each time out.
20. Peter Lark, 6-5, W, Air Academy, 2019, 1.2 bpg
Teammate Austin Graham led off this list in the No. 1 spot, and here’s Lark wrapping it up at No. 20. The Kadets certainly have been blessed with length and athleticism. Lark averages 8.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.
