- James Jewell, Eastern – Our top ranked player, Jewell has flashed all the offensive tools to be a major player and will only get better as he continues growing and develops his body and skills. James is already an above average shot blocker with his long arms and quick leaping ability. Jewell dominates his age group and is capable of competing with players two and three years older than him already.
- Justin Becker, Robertson County – Becker has some offensive versatility and can stretch the floor with shooting. He’s able to bully defenders around the rim and finish through contact. While not a tremendous athlete, Justin uses a high basketball IQ and polished post moves to score when he gets post touches. If he hits a growth spurt, he could have a mid major or better ceiling. If not, he has to improve his lateral quickness so he can defend wing players.
- Tim Hall, Dunbar – One of the less heralded players in the class, Hall has really good positional size and plays with a good motor. Averaging 4 points and 4 rebounds in his Freshman campaign, Hall projects as a really good rebounder and on the block scorer. Like his peers, a growth spurt would help his chances as a college prospect.
- Olajuwon White, Christian County – White is one of the better rebounders in this class but he has struggled a bit as a Freshman playing a lot of varsity for a young Christian County team. Averaging 6 points and 5 rebounds for the Colonels, Olajuwon needs to add more polish to his post game and start to stretch the floor some as he develops. He could be a really strong college prospect in the future.
- Jackson Twombly, Frankfort – Twombly is one of the more polished post scorers in the class and he can stretch the floor as well. Jackson is actually leading the entire state in field goal percentage at 74% for the year but will need to become a better rebounder as he progresses, especially going after balls that are out of his area. If Twombly can grow, he has a very bright future.
