Prep Ball Stars Elite Players Only – Week 3 Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage at Finch Creek Fieldhouse of Elite Players Only hosted by Prep Ball Stars. This even features open gym style games between many of the top players in the greater Indianapolis area. It is always a great event and a sort of tuneup prior to the more structured Fall Leagues that get going in September and October. He is one of those guys who is simply always involved in the action and knows how to put the ball in the basket. The 6'5" wing lives above the rim as a finisher, but also has a crafty mid-range and intermediate finishing package. He can rise up above the defense with his athleticism and length and use either hand to finish. The 5'8" explosive playmaker is a relentless driver and does such a good job of finishing against size when he gets to the rim. He uses a variety of dribble moves to attack the paint and is a creative finisher. The senior point guard from Decatur Central High School is always going to set the pace when he has the ball in his hands. He is starting to establish himself not just as a scholarship-level prospect, but a potential Division I-level prospect. Garner is a legit 6'8" with a strong build and moves fluidly for his size. The combination of shot-making ability from the perimeter and rebounding ability inside makes him a unique prospect. We quickly identified this 6'5" wing as a major stock-riser earlier this summer and he continues to prove us right. Smith is a long, athletic two-way wing that can really catch-and-shoot from the perimeter. He was knocking in three-point shots, finishing with two-handed dunks at the end of his drives, and jumping the passing lanes defensively. He is a 6'4" wing with elite athleticism and catch-and-shoot ability. Walker is really shooting it well and did so once again on Wednesday at Elite Players Only. He is now signed up for our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp as well. On Wednesday night flashed some of his upside by knocking down an elbow jump shot and a catch-and-shoot three-pointer from the corner. He has a smooth, projectable stroke as a 6'7" lefty. However, it is Wilson's defensive presence that makes him a Top 10 long-term prospect. In the second game of the evening he had a stretch that including making four progressively deeper and more difficult pull-up three-point shots off of the dribble. His ability to create separation on the perimeter and make tough shots is so impressive.
