Friday featured plenty of high-level talent at Romeoville Pre-Live with several players boosting their stock through strong all-around performances. Here are some of the top standouts from the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323617' first='Markese' last='Peoples'] | St. Laurence 2027

Peoples has become one of the hottest names of the summer, and his game has continued to ascend since the conclusion of the high school season. He's become nearly automatic when attacking downhill with a full head of steam, consistently getting into the paint and finishing with either hand. Peoples embraces physicality, scoring through contact and bullying smaller defenders around the basket. His stock has steadily climbed throughout the spring and into the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2963414' first='Stephen' last='Dixon'] | De La Salle 2028

Dixon put together an impressive scoring stretch, knocking down back-to-back three-pointers from the left wing before attacking the rim on consecutive possessions. The impactful guard can generate offense at all three levels while also applying pressure defensively. His energy and scoring ability make him a player to keep tabs on in the 2028 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125616' first='Donavyn' last='Simmons'] | Joliet Catholic 2027

Simmons was one of the most entertaining guards to watch on Friday. He has the ball on a string and operates with an advanced handle that constantly keeps defenders off balance. Simmons uses crafty changes of pace, quick reads off ball screens, and excellent timing to create advantages. He changes speeds effortlessly, gets to his spots, and finishes at the rim with control and touch. An agile, well-rounded floor general who consistently creates offense with the ball in his hands.

JaKobe Wren | King College Prep 2028

The 6-foot-4 Wren showcased why he's one of the better defensive prospects in his class. He covers ground with agility and relentless activity, recording multiple blocks while impacting possessions all over the floor. Offensively, he can score above or below the rim and plays through contact with powerful two-foot finishes. Wren's combination of athleticism and defensive versatility stands out immediately.

[player_tooltip player_id='2950452' first='[player_tooltip player_id='2375418' first='Tristan' last='']' last='Garner'] | Southland College Prep 2028

Garner delivered one of the biggest performances of the day, exploding for 44 points while knocking down eight three-pointers. The 6-foot-1 guard looked comfortable coming off screens and repeatedly buried shots from the perimeter. He also mixed in finishes around the basket and mid-range pull-ups. Garner is an under-the-radar guard from the south suburbs who may have had his breakout performance of the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2796681' first='Zion' last='Braimah'] | Pecatonica 2027

Braimah showcased his elite athleticism from the opening possessions. He started by knocking down a wing three before tracking down an errant pass and converting a highlight-reel dunk with ease. His bounce is effortless, and he continues to improve every time out. Braimah is a legitimate double-double threat whose stock continues to rise throughout the spring and summer.

Outstanding Performers

- [player_tooltip player_id='3472220' first='Ryan' last='Whitt'] | Phillips 2029

- [player_tooltip player_id='2385372' first='Noah' last='Corro'] | St. Laurence 2029

- Devaun Bates | De La Salle 2028

- [player_tooltip player_id='2406554' first='KJ' last='Miller'] | Plainfield East 2027

- Braydon Porter | Yorkville 2028

- [player_tooltip player_id='2935927' first='Corey' last='Wellere Jr.'] | King 2027

- [player_tooltip player_id='2369872' first='Cody' last='Rader'] | Geneva 2029

- Peter Chojniak | Northridge Prep 2028
