Previous Ranking: 13
Current Ranking: 8

A key player for one of the state's best teams, Schwalbach leads the Ghosts in assists and steals while also contributing at a high level on the defensive glass. A smart player with good size and impressive skills. Schwalbach is averaging 15.5 points and shooting 61 percent from the floor for Kaukauna, which is 12-1 under first-year coach Ryan Bowers. Schwalbach is very good against pressure defense, sees the floor well and can score at all three levels. He'll need strength and to better his three-point shooting in the coming years, but his future is very bright.

Previous Ranking: 19
Current Ranking: 12

A bulldog of a player on both ends of the court, Kowal competes with passion, purpose and productivity. The son of Onalaska coach Craig Kowal, [player_tooltip player_id='2405197' first='Tyler' last='Kowal'] is a point guard with quickness, physical strength and impressive aggressiveness. His ability to positively impact a game in many different areas is a big reason why Onalaska is 10-0 and ranked No. 1 among WIAA Division 2 schools in the state. In a recent win over Caledonia, Minn., Kowal finished with four three-point baskets, 24 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and zero turnovers. The next time out, Kowal had 30 points and nine rebounds in an 82-59 win over Winona, Minn.

Previous Ranking: 49
Current Ranking: 16

Sheboygan North has won 10 of 13 games and is doing so with a largely new lineup from a year ago. Buhr has played an enormous role in the Golden Raiders' success as he is averaging 17.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.3 steals per outing for coach Eric Worth's squad. A versatile player with impressive mobility and a desire to take and make big shots, Buhr was outstanding in a Fox River Classic Conference victory over highly regarded [program_tooltip program_id='2829078' first='West' last='De Pere'] just prior to Christmas. Buhr had 27 points, six rebounds, four steals and two assists in that game, leading Sheboygan North to a 83-78 triumph.

Previous Ranking: 68
Current Ranking: 25

A player who is getting better by the day, Cohen figures to continue his rise up the Prep Hoops Wisconsin Player Rankings over the next few years. His combination of skill, athleticism and size are tough to deal with for opponents, and he isn't afraid to use all of those attributes at any point in a game. He is averaging 8.3 points off the bench for yet another very good De Pere squad. He also contributes 3.2 assists per game as the Redbirds take a 11-2 mark into a game Thursday with visiting Notre Dame Academy.

Previous Ranking: 37
Current Ranking: 28

Gutsy, skilled and as competitive as they come, Cooper is having a very good season at Regis. He sets the table for his teammates, but can also put points on the scoreboard himself. Cooper is averaging 17.9 points while shooting 55 percent from the field, 48 percent from three-point range and 71 percent from the foul line. He leads Regis (10-2) in both steals and assists, and is one of the top facilitators in the state's 2028 class.

Previous Ranking: 59
Current Ranking: 36

Stewart is having a breakout season for Madison West after transferring to the westside school from Madison La Follette following his freshman year. Stewart went for 26 points for the Regents in a recent loss to Verona. That performance came on the heels of another top showing against one of the state's better teams as Stewart had 26 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a narrow loss to Middleton. Stewart's ability to play either guard spot and put up big scoring totals while also getting the ball to his teammates are impressive traits and a major reason why he has moved up in the Prep Hoops Wisconsin Player Rankings for 2028.

Previous Ranking: 60
Current Ranking: 39

Doedens always seems to be in attack mode with the ball in his hands. And that means he's looking to cutters to the basket or to find openings for himself to either spot up for a jump shot or get all the way to the rim. The quick lead guard is having a very good season for DeForest as he is averaging 17.0 points and 2.3 assists while helping the Norskies to a 7-8 record while playing very strong opponents in an out of conference.
