Freshman Showcase: Standout Guards Part 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We had over 50 members of the class of 2029 come to Louisville Saturday to participate in our annual Freshman Showcase. While I was stationed on one court nearly the entire time, I did not get to see every player who came to camp. These are the top guards that I was able to evaluate myself. Lynch is another player whose name I had not heard previously but finished the day being impressed by him. He had a strong showing on Saturday and looks like a top freshman in the 7th region. He is physical and can absorb contact on his way to the rim or he can penetrate and kick for open looks for teammates. D'Mario is on a veteran St. X team so his name may not be known at the varsity level this season but he is a name to file away for later. Brayden is a good shooter and isn't afraid to attack the rim either. He didn't seem to force any offense and often passed up good shots to get a great shot for a teammate, which is rare when you're in a showcase camp. If he gets to be his dad's size (6'5") we will be talking about Kizer as a big time prospect down the line. He's already well built and strong and was comfortable taking contact. While Daviess County has a veteran group this season, they will need to reload to stay relevant in the 3rd region past 2026 and [player_tooltip player_id='2935723' first='Max' last='Kizer'] is a good piece to move forward with.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
