Showing my age here but Max’s dad was a good player at my rival high school back in my day. I didn’t get to see Kizer play last year at the freshman camp and look forward to seeing how he plays this Sunday. With his frame and build, Max could be in line to be a big part of a Daviess County team that has a lot of holes to fill.

Max was another stock riser that caught my eye. I was impressed with Max’s decision making throughout 5 on 5. He did not force any shots or turnovers. He was fundamentally sound. He also is very well built for his age, he was strong defensively and kept quicker guards in front. He was very sneaky athletic which caught me by surprise. Max can provide a major spark for Daviess at the varsity level.

Filed under the “makes me feel old” category, I used to play against Max’s dad when we were in middle school. If he gets to be his dad’s size (6’5″) we will be talking about Kizer as a big time prospect down the line. He’s already well built and strong and was comfortable taking contact. While Daviess County has a veteran group this season, they will need to reload to stay relevant in the 3rd region past 2026 and Max Kizer Max Kizer 6'2" | PG/SG Daviess County | 2029 State KY is a good piece to move forward with.
