This 6’7″ smooth, athletic wing had no issue playing up at the 17u level with Team CPSA. Oware operates so well out on the perimeter for his size. He has elite footwork both as a shooter and when slicing his way downhill to the rim off of the dribble. The positional size, length, and athleticism make him a tough matchup for other 3’s. It is easy to see why Oware is considered a highly regarded Class of 2028 prospect and should only continue to see his national recognition grow.

Team CPSA has a handful of players playing up on their 17 U team and Oware stole the show on Friday with a huge performance in the first half in a battle between two of the top teams on the circuit. Oware shot the ball at a high level on the perimeter with catch and shoot 3’s and shots off pindown actions. I liked the way Oware moved up and down the court, showing impressive fluidity and explosiveness for his age. When we update 2028 national rankings after July, Oware is an easy inclusion to be added.

He has all the makings of a high-major talent with an incredibly high ceiling—coaches need to get on him early before the recruitment completely explodes.

Oware has all the physical and athletic tools you look for in a Division 1 prospect – smooth perimeter movements, explosive vertical athleticism and a long, wiry frame with room to add strength. Skill-wise, the 6-foot-6 wing has added to his game this spring and summer, highlighted by the quick and high elevation he gets on his off-bounce jumper and consistency in catch-and-shoot situations. Oware’s progression from JV player to a recruit with multiple Mid Major Division 1 looks is a testament to his development and the reason why he upped his stock from No. 24 into the Top 10.

Defensively, his lateral speed allowed him to pressure opposing guards effectively. Offensively, he showed confidence creating opportunities for himself and teammates. His athleticism and aggressiveness make him an exciting prospect moving forward.

Oware is another talented SoCal wing who spent the majority of his freshman season playing on the lower levels at Poly but the wiry 6-foot-5 wing should evolve into a key contributor on the varsity level this season. Oware has all the physical and athletic measureables you look for in a potential Division 1 prospect and, when you add in his smooth jump shooting and quick twitch athleticism, you have an underclass prospect who needs to be tracked closely over the next few seasons.
