Pairings released for Rick Majerus WBY Shootout

It may still be five months away, but it's never too early to examine the pairings for the annual Rick Majerus Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout. This year's event will be held on December 27, 29, 30 at the Buuck Fieldhouse on the campus of Concordia University in Mequon. Many of the top teams and top players from across Wisconsin once again will participate in the event. In addition, two powerhouse out-of-state teams are slated to compete as both Wayzata High School and Totino-Grace High School from the Twin Cities area each will play two games. Wayzata, the defending Class 4A state champion, features the top two ranked players in the class of 2026 in Minnesota in Iowa State recruit Christian Wiggins (6-5) and potential Minnesota recruit Nolan Anderson (6-7). Totino-Grace is led by seniors Dothan Ijadimbola (6-6) and Tian Chatman (6-5), along with juniors Malachi Hill (6-0) and Jaylan Hynes (6-3). Wayzata will play West Allis Central, which features Iowa State recruit [player_tooltip player_id='2045256' first='Yusef' last='Gray Jr.'] (6-4), at 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 29 before meeting Nicolet at 3:15 p.m. on Dec. 30. Totion-Grace will battle perennial state power De Pere at 6:15 on Dec. 28 and then meet West Allis Central at 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 29.
