About Augustus

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Brawn and brains. I do whatever it takes to help my team win. Good ball handler for my size, great rebounder and shot blocker, excellent court vision and passer, not afraid to get physical, high basketball IQ.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Easygoing and funny off court. Locked in and focused on winning on court. I had to develop a badass persona on the court to make me better. There are a lot of better players than me, but nobody I know who competes harder.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, very involved with church/school. I also play football and volleyball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel I'm a natural leader, but am always willing to play whatever role my team needs at any moment to ensure we win. I leave my ego at the door.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my foot (football) and ankle (basketball) in two separate incidents in 7th grade. It was heartbreaking to not play, but I worked harder than ever before and came back better and more fearless in both sports.

What type of college are you looking for?

Great academic institution. I want to be a doctor. Beautiful campus with great culture. Old-school coach who values teamwork and winning over all else.
