[player_tooltip player_id='2531981' first='Cole' last='Kelly'] (Neuqua Valley)

Kelly sits at the top of the board in the 2028 class. He missed part of spring with an injury, but his resume from his freshman year of high school was exceptional. During his first season he went for 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 dimes a game. Averaging a double double as a 6'6” wing with his skill set is super impressive. Lefty that can create his shot from all three levels. Crisp jumper from deep and rising up in the mid-range. Can score off the bounce or post up weaker defenders in the paint. Playmaking potential with the rock in his hands. He is playing up on the 17U level for [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''].

[player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] (Bolingbrook)

Pettigrew holds onto the #2 overall spot in the class with a rock solid freshman campaign and a good spring for [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last='']. In his EYBL games he went for 13.5 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 2.8 APG, and 2.0 SPG. Complete guard with size, strength, and athleticism. Last season he played a complimentary role to Thompson, but now it is his show. Smooth scorer that has some on ball ability and is a connective passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] (Oswego)

Vahl made the high school debut that many expected of the standout guard as he came in right away to be a major threat for Oswego. Thin and wiry two guard with a feathery touch on his jumper from 15 feet out to three point range. Smooth ball handler that can create for himself and others off the bounce. Just has an overall smoothness to his game that is impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194655' first='Braydon' last='Porter'] (Yorkville)

Porter continues to make strides each time we see him. The athleticism is what initially jumps off the floor as a bouncy wing that can play above the rim and impact as a two way wing because of it. Slasher that can also run the floor well, hit an occasional spot up three, and snatches rebounds. What impressed us most was the growth we saw as a connective passer. In EYBL action he averaged 9 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game shooting 46% from three along with 33% from distance.

[player_tooltip player_id='2540198' first='Terrence' last='Davis'] (Libertyville)

Davis is coming off a strong freshman season where he saw a significant role. Crisp mid-range shot maker creating off the bounce. Cross over for acrobatic scoop shots in the lane. Has explosive athleticism playing above the rim. Solid passer that makes good decisions in ball screens. Potential to be a good defender with his athleticism and instincts already being impactful on that end. Solid wing defender and plays with a high-motor. In EYBL play he averaged 8 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 2 APG, 1.9 SPG, and 0.9 BPG.

[player_tooltip player_id='2542412' first='Chase' last='Kasten'] (Normal Community)

Kasten made a nice bump up the board after a big outing at Windy City War. Fluid athlete that can really shoot the basketball. Pours in shots from the mid-range and three. High level shot maker that can create off the bounce or hitting them spotting up. Plays well in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538631' first='Grant' last='Smith'] (Lyons)

Smith is a wing that broke out at our Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase and has had a nice spring for [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last='']. Small forward with size, skill, and athleticism. Super active wing that is always around the ball. He is a high-motor forward that can handle it in the open floor, cuts off the ball, gets on the offensive glass, and has potential as a shooter. Impact defender with his athleticism and anticipation. In EYBL play this spring he averaged 8.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 1.0 SPG, and 1.4 BPG.

DeAndre Higgs (Thornton)

Higgs is a strong bodied and physical two way wing that impacts on both ends. On a young Thornton team he was one of the top players on the squad. What you have to like about him is his high-motor, toughness, athleticism, and defense. Scores with his physicality downhill, getting on the glass, and in the open floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2751060' first='Brady' last='Jones'] (Metamora)

Like the size and strength as a small forward for the next Metamora standout. Sound shooter off the catch that gets on the glass. Finishes well through contact and is a connective passer. Reminds me a bit of Zobrist at the same age with his role and size.

[player_tooltip player_id='2542413' first='Alvin' last='Robinson'] (Lincoln Park)

Robinson had quite a bit of buzz coming into the season, but only played limited minutes for a stacked Lincoln Park squad. Rangy defender that gets on the glass. Cuts off the ball, gets to the charity stripe, and excels in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532031' first='Roosevelt' last='Thomas'] (De La Salle)

Thomas made an impact right away on a good De La Salle squad. Big bodied guard that can play on and off the ball. Rebounds very well for his position and is a powerful driver putting pressure on the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2751256' first='Archie' last='Goewey'] (Centralia)

Multi sport standout for the Orphans that burst on the scene for hoops winning multiple tournament MVPs as a freshman. Strong and athletic 6'3” small forward that has a clean shot from distance, makes sound decisions as a connective passer, and moves well without the ball.
