A rotation player for the Lions, Truitt found his footing and got into a rhythm versus Garden State Academy. He really got going in the second half by getting to the paint. Truitt either absorbed contact while finishing at the cup or euro-stepped around defenders to find the perfect angle to score. Likewise, he crashed the boards for rebounds before tying for a game-high 12 points.

Expecting to make a big splash for an O’Hara team looking to move up the league standings, Truitt is stepping into as prominent a role as any freshman guard in the league. The southpaw brings a well-rounded arsenal with a crafty attack off the bounce using either hand and a smooth pullup game with range out to the perimeter. His feel and pace also look impressively advanced along with his instincts for making plays on the defensive end. Truitt has nice size already for a young lead guard with budding athleticism and toughness to play through contact as he works to add strength. He’ll push to start for the Lions right away and despite his youth could blossom quickly into a leader for a developing group in need of an infusion of the natural talent that Truitt possesses.
