The 2024 South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association Live Team Camp began today in North Augusta, South Carolina at the Riverview Park Activities Center. Over 120 High School programs from the Palmetto State will be in attendance at some point throughout the weekend, so this is one of the most important stops of the Prep Hoops SC Calendar. Check out these five prospects who stood out from Friday’s Action:
Shannon Davis Shannon Davis 6'2" | CG Crestwood | 2025 State SC begins my list of Friday Standouts at the SCBCA Live Team Camp. He had a brilliant showing against Newberry early Friday afternoon, showing off his two-way playmaking and physical attributes. Shannon went for 11 Points, 7 Assists, and 5 Steals doing a little bit of everything in the Knights’ backcourt. Davis was at his best in transition with hit-ahead passes, coast-to-coast finishes, and high-flying slams. He had buckets from all three levels of the floor and his ability to create for himself and others helped his team build a large lead and earned him some extra rest at the end of the game.

Tristan had a strong performance for the Tigers in a high-level matchup with Greenville. Thompson was a fluid scorer all game long with lots of success finishing at the rim with both hands or pulling up from his spots in the mid-range. Most of his pull-up jump shots came from the middle of the floor because he had the ball in his hands so often, but he did show some flashes of what he can do when not the primary ball handler. Most of his drives were defended toughly, forcing Thompson to finish creatively around defenders or strong through them. He put up 25 Points and 6 Assists converting on 2-3 attempts from behind the arc.

Marshall had one of the better shooting games of the day when Westside matched up with Catawba Ridge in North Augusta. He had 25 Points knocking down 5 threes on 8 attempts – and did it from all different areas around the arc. Zeke has improved a lot with his shot over the years, but two things that he has always had are athleticism and defensive intensity. He sets the tone for his squad on that end of the floor and it clearly translates to putting the ball in the basket. Marshall can both spot up from the perimeter or create shots for himself off the bounce, making him difficult to gameplan against. Zeke’s length helps him on offense and defense, allowing him to make shots over defenders or force tough ones from his matchup.
Highlights
LaQuaree Gleen was a bright spot for Lower Richland in a tough loss vs Clover. In the first half, he scored 14 of the team’s 18 points. Glenn brought energy and efficiency off the bench for the Hornets and was particularly effective around the paint. He showed an ability to drive and finish strongly or crash the offensive glass and earn second-chance points. LaQuaree can finish with either hand around the basket and has good footwork. Although he may not be the most athletically tantalizing, Glenn has a solid game and will be a dependable option for the Hornets. LaQuaree finished with 20 Points and 7 Rebounds in the game.
Highlights
RJ had a big second half to help the Bruins pull away from Gray Collegiate on Friday Afternoon in North Augusta. Brown defends hard the entire game and will frequently force turnovers because he is a nightmare to get past. He moves his feet well and has a strong lower half too. RJ connected from behind the arc three times in the game, all of them coming in the second half and two of them coming in back-to-back possessions amid a Bruin run. He added 3 Steals to his stat line as well, displaying that he can poke through a passing lane or rip the ball away from a handler.
